....the new Radiohead record was dropping this year.

Then, literally every single one of my favorite music acts would be putting out records in 2006.

Beastie Boys get disqualified cuz I'm not entirely sure I want another record from them.

What are your other favorites that have released (or will release) albums?

The Secret Machines
The Flaming Lips
The Streets
Rhymefest
Thom Yorke (I guess this sorta counts, ay?)
T.I. (fuck you guys, I like Tip)
Jurassic 5
RHCP
Beck (supposedly this fall)
Audioslave
INCUBUS
Outkast
The Roots
Junkie XL
Andrew Rosas
Gnarls Barkely
The Strokes

also, The White Stripes didn't put out anything, but Jack White did so, I'm counting that too.

Some of these aren't, like, my super duper favs but more just albums I was really looking forward to.

2006 is off the chain thus far.

How is the new Secret Machines? I heard some tepid reviews, so I put that one on the back burner. But I'll get around to those guys soon...

I'm bias because I love anything they fart on.

but it's the best album I've heard in a long time.

it's out of this world.

but really, I'm bias.

Why the fuck would you not?

You'd rather hear a "the Streets" album???? I gave them about 6 minutes once and it was the whack whack.

Don't give up, man. They'll get the eye of the tiger again -- you watch.

It's not that I thought TT5B was crap. I like it and play it often.

It's just that Hello Nasty is on a mightly pedestal, high above all other albums in my head. Bascially, I consider it un-follow-up-able.

Therefore, as far as I go, TT5B was doomed long before it came out.

it grows on you like a wonderful, wonderful mold. at first it took me a while to get into it...but really, every track is solid, and the production is incredible. my favorites are "faded lines" and the single, "lightning blue eyes." the video for that one's pretty rad.

don't get steger started on them. he's pretty much obsessed. totally has a mancrush on all of them.

...wasn't Radiohead supposed to have scored A Scanner Darkly, then backed out?

I thought this thread was gonna be about that Queens of the Stone Age song. That's a good song.

But yes, Radiohead. Fuck. I can't wait.
