Damn, I just checked those pics of the double sided version again and noticed I like the layout better too. "Beastie Boys Starring In" and "Finally, Hornblower Is Taking Back What's His" are centered. Blimy!

Not that I know of. I've written detailed descriptions of both covers here (there are lots of little details). Check that and yours and let us know. As far as being able to play a UK disk in the US, probably not. But, if you have one of those cheap-ass Korean players (e.g., Oritron) you can disable the region coding in the player and play anything you damn well please.

Esp that Ibere Camargo Foundation in Brazil. I'm not the biggest Frank Gehry fan but I do need to see this. I saw 'My Architect' and luuuuuved it. Didya catch that one? Mhm, Kahn's the man. Yeah, there are so many jobs where you do the job without the licensing (and you end up realizing, you could really do without it).

If you're in the U.S. & want to import a dvd from Europe, besides the region coding especially make sure the disc uses the NTSC video format.....which it probably won't because Europe uses the PAL video format. In other words, a PAL disc won't play correctly on an NTSC player.
Region free dvd players are really common now (well, with some special button pushing they can be *made* region free ;)) but players that can play both NTSC & PAL formats are not. Check the player's instruction manual before ordering from Over There. :)
You can get more info on this by doing a seach here (http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=7&f=34).

I'm on it. I'll scan today. Where do you want it sent. The US cover is slightly different (no four star reviews on the bottom from Maxim, etc. and the titltes at the top are centered), but this shouldn't make a difference for the area you'd work on.

Oh, shit. Are you americans happy with just slapping the uk cover on it? I'll happily scan it. I figured you'd want the american cover edited. Considering the US dvd isnt the double disc thing (is it).

how many versions of the dvd are there?
Let's find out ..
I checked out Columbia House (http://www.columbiahouse.com/sa/41/ch/productDetail.do?itemID=1789871&club=3&stype=CLUB&dt=1154442199293&catname=SEARCH%3AMONSTER_ALL&pin=41&bak=NONE)this morning.
It's Wide-Screen and it lists the extra features as:
Photo Gallery
Interactive Menus/Chapter Search
Additional Footage
Did I miss the photo gallery??
It's only 10.98 if I buy another DVD, so I may buy it just to see and I can always give it to a friend if it's not worth keeping.
People who got just one disc, did you not get the cook-off and Shazam videos?

I just got my Revolver copy of AIFST today with the reversible cover. I was a skeptic I've got to say, but it's true. There are few significant differences. There are three fewer camera/x-wing fighters; Maxim, Empire, Uncut, Arena, Loaded and Mixmag ratings; all text is centered; "Double Disc Special Edition"; the Hornblower ghost is slightly biggerno VH1 or Lionsgate support (obviously); different layout on the backcover to include all the extras from disk 2; hailed as "The greatest concert movie of all time"; www.beastieboysmovie.com instead of awesomeishotthat.com; the secon cd is called "2" instead of "Gratis Textiles"; blah, blah, blah. The booklet is exactly the same except for the Revolver logo and a slightly different paper weight/coating.
The most signficant difference seems to be the description which seems like a paraphrasing/reworking of the Flaunt Magazine quote from the Lionsgate (American) version. I'd love to know who reworked it.
So far, I can't see any difference in the content (samples, video, etc.). This will take foreva to compare.
BTW, it's PAL (instead of NTSC) and region 2 coded, but once I changed the region coding on my Mac when prompted, it worked fine and I haven't been prompted to change back when I played my NTSC/Region 1/American version.
