This very funny. The reporter asks how soon until the new album drops.

I didn't watch the interview, but is KTLA that news station. Oh man if it is, it is the worst news station I have ever witnessed in my short time there.

Yup, they were flippin' omlettes. You can see it on the "Sabotage" VHS or DVD.

Channel 5 (KTLA) is like the local area network and not an ABC, NBC or CBS affiliate if that's what you mean.

Yes! Fuck with the morning-show Asian, Ken doll and the fat-ass who doesn't get it! Good job, dudes. As clueless as the newscasters were, I think the anchor doing the interview was actually on it and she was delivering the "When's the new album drop?" line deadpan.
I love the "Yeah in New York, you put anything on rye bread, they'll eat it." And Yauch's response, "What, is that a Jew joke?"

Yeah, everytime something I've never seen before comes along I just say, "I don't get it." and belly laugh. Then I never think about it again or ask any questions.

I'm just not so sure what there was to "get" there. I mean, the Boys weren't wearing suits so... :o
I didn't find it so difficult to follow the bouncing ball. For crying out loud, it seems like the show missed a cue or two.
Whatever. MAYBE I just get it. I said MAYBE.
Ain't it funky now?

Maybe, these news guys, these corporate folk, expect that "This is a news show. This is a chance for these guys to pump up their wares, but instead they waste it away talking non-sense. These young people today and the drug epidemic that's sweeping the nation. It's that new Cake or Coke or Crack, whatever you call it that's at the bottom of all this. I'm not going to just stand by and watch my kids fry their brains like these layabouts. We've got to return this country to the values that our parents brought us up on."
Seriously, they're in an industry that doesn't waste a split second with holes or dead time. They're probably not used to giving a "worthwhile" news spot over to three guys that do nothing to promote themselves in the way they expect. [Said like Tom Anderson] "These boys sure could use a lesson in Public Relations. I tell you what, when I was in the Navy, we used to ..."

You're right. Maybe they expect that. I'm doing my best at living without expectations.
I don't feel like the spot was wasted. How many kids are watching that show? I mean, is that a Good Morning America type show? Mom used to watch that show.

That was hilarious! I love when someone interviews the Beasties that doesn't "get" them..they try and ask serious questions but are then made to look like idiots!
Perhaps if some producer/intern at that station informed them of the Boys ways BEFORE the interview, we might have heard some intelligent questions!!!
