'Grindie'

Does anyone in the UK/elsewhere have 'grindie' nights? The reason I am interested is that my mate's first club night was featured in this month's Mixmag (pg 72 - check it out, am like a proud older sister!!)

What's your view? Is this another shortlived fad or does it have any real staying power?
