I was like damn this is gonna suck and definitely started to regret that i didnt start college until like 5 years after graduating high school. but it turned out that in 2 internships i was never the oldest intern and plus i look 12 years old so i never really looked out of place working for free.

are you talking to anyone in particular?

do you have a question or certain topic of discussion to bring up?

this is a message board....not an online journal.

i'm going to have to intern for at least a year when i finish school. i'm not looking forward to that.

sometimes i get really down on myself for being 22 and still years and years away from the degree i want. oh well.

you aren't the only one. But shit, we're still growing up and figuring out what we want in life. Maybe I'm biased, but I think making someone figure out what they want in life (even if it's just a career) at 18 is unfair.

But anyway, you'll be fine. :)

I thought this was going to be a hot story about how your boss nailed you on his desk....

the word intern doesnt exist in australia. neither do internships. i dont even know what an intern is, except that if your the president's intern u have to give him gobbies, then show your stained dress to your mother, and then nearly get the president impeached, then become a F grade celebrity. (and get fat).

I didn't get off the Intern-ship until 29, but I was always well paid, so I was ok with that...

having to decide a career choice and work on it at 18-19 is ridiculous to me. most of my friends that did the 4 yrs of college->workforce are hating themselves right now at age 24 because this is it. they have to lead this life for the next 30-40 years and it based on a choice they made half drunk on during their 2nd semester. whereas the friends i have that had time to think of their career paths and took time off from school or allowed themselves to change their minds a bunch of times into their 20's (and are still studying into their mid-late 20's), they have a better hold of their plans and what really makes them happy. my point, i guess, is that for some, going to college at 18 isn't really the best option. neither is finishing in 4 years, for some.
