I was actually thinking about that, some were not as flashy. Which is fine. These particular ones just stood out to me. I didn't mean people suck for posting the other costumes, I just thought there would be ONE comment about the great colors or something.

Anyway, I was thinking about looking up various thing about each country and such and making up an outfit, drawing it out, keeping traditional elements but making something new.

I just don't understand the point of this. I'd be willing to bet that there is seldom an occasion for which people from these countries wear these costumes for legitimate cultural purposes.

yeah I'm right there with you. And I don't know how historically accurate or how significant any of these are to each country. I really do want to read up on every single one of these countries, find photos or descriptions of the way the culture dresses (or perhaps used to) and go from there to make the costumes or jot/draw ideas. I think it's so cool.

i highly doubt those are national costumes. more like lots of fabric in the same colour as the national flag. but then again they did call them costumes, so that does suggest a sort of flamboyancy.
