ok just popped it in my player and i can't get the angle bar to go off the screen. this is a Pioneer Elite player and has no problem with any other DVDs. i put it in my old Sony player and it works fine. anyone else have any trouble like this?
while i'm on the subject, despite the angle bar being displayed constantly this thing is pretty much unwatchable. it seemed like such a good idea until you see it and realize that NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO WORK A FRIGGIN CAMERA. have you seen amateur video or home movies?! everyone thinks they're an expert with the zooms and other nonsense. and the constant changing of angles is vomit-inducing. i might be willing to forgive that if it at least SOUNDED good but i guess they had fans do the mix as well! Led Zeppelin's "How the West was Won" was compiled from 30 year old video and audio and looks and sounds 10 times better!
hopefully the extras are good. i've been a Beastie fan for almost 20 years but they've been letting me down lately.

My video angle thing won't go away either, but it don't bother me that much. Anyway, I disagree with everything you said. :p

yeah, my angle shit doesn't go away either yet i can't change the angle even if i try to. The bonus thing with the icons in the corner didn't work either, but that might have been because I watched with commentary. I saw the movie at a theatre already.

Aw that sucks, the hidden detour thing didn't work for you? I can change the angles just by pressing the angle button so maybe it's better.

Mine's RCA, about 3 years old, and that angle thing happens with everything that has alternate angles... but this doesn't yet it's still there. Hopefully it will work better on my PS2 and/or computer.

Oh yeah, and I just looked at my dvd player and it's CyberHome...unless that's not the brand, then I'll feel stupid.

yea i use a sony dvd player and everything is fine, maybe a setting on your tv is causing it to mess, other than that everything you said about the movie i disagree with, it is very different and jumps around a lot but that the point. This is a true concert dvd its none of that pre thought out bullshit, when you are at a show you aren't viewing the band from 5 predetermined angles you are lookin at other people, your mind wanders, you move around, thats what this movie shows, we can agree to disagree but i freakin love this thing

I can't pause whenever there's a detour, with or without the 'detour' setting on.
the comparison to how the west was won is interesting, because zepp always sounded wack live, and it took jimmy page thirty years to find the technology to make them listenable. the beasties mix is a little flat, but still, far from unlistenable. and the camera work is fine with me.

When I went an got the DVD I wanted to watch it so bad that I went to my friends house which is 5 minutes closer to town that my house.
He had the same problem. I think its the DVD player thats the problem an not the DVD. Cause my DVD at home its fine, and the computer DVD drive is fine too.
