it's time i think. fools wearin waistcoats in the early 90's, flat-tops and shit. girrlz with jeans hitched up to they underbreast area.
then you got kids in cardigans, talkin bout how hard life is, while they parents pay for all this music that tells em how hard things are. some people still dance in rap videos.
follow this with electro music gettin big in 96, and hip hop groups coprising at least 5 members.
then we got the y2k hype, and the worst cg you'll see anywhere. and a sense of the future being now, even though shit was still the same.

You can make a list of shitty pop tracks from any given time period. That doesn't mean nothing good came out of it.
Black Sunday
The Chronic
Doggystyle
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Rage Against the Machine
The KLF
Massive Attack
Chemical Brothers
The Prodigy Experience (and music for the jilted)
Orbital
Just from the top of my head.
I'd struggle to make a similar list for the naughties though.

the most horrific thing about the 90s was kappa trousers. you know, the ones with the buttons all the down the leg that you could just rrriiiippppp all the way up to the top with a satisfying "popopopop!" ugh. hideous.

The 90's rule: pudding bowl haircuts, tazoa, "Have you been tangoed?". Football not played by pussies. I wasn't an adult. It was BRILLIANT.

For me the 90s was such a diverse period because I started it 11 years old and ended it at 21. I can't really put my finger on something that is distinctly 90's. If anything I would say happy pants & plaid pants, vintage oakley frogskins, hypercolour t-shirts. Those were embarrasing.

all the people of the 90s acted like it was the be all of decades. like there'd never be a future and their decade would get merked by people who know better. it was THAT much better than the 80s, and let the 70s be cool. sheyit. now the 90s is nothin.
what about all the games with polygons? now they like text-based games, cause you still gotta use your imagination to make shit look legit (goldeneye, i'm lookin at you").

Hey, I liked the 90's. Of course, the 90's are the only decade I've been alive in beginning till the end, but I liked it. The best year of my life was 1999.
I wish I could live again in a time where Bill Clinton getting a blowjob from Monica Lewinsky was the biggest news story and there was no War In Iraq.
