Aw man, why do I have to wait 'til August 22nd for this album? :(
Anyways, check the tracklisting on this Deluxe Edition for "Bande A Part."
Shit son, there's some AWESOME tracks they're covering (and stuff I'm not even familiar with, so I'm excited either way!)...

S'already been leaked on internets.
I know nothing about this band, but found a torrent for deluxe already. Let me know if it turns out to be all you hoped!

Dude, definitely look into Nouvelle Vague (they are a French group that performs bossa nova versions of '80s new wave/post-punk songs from the likes of Depeche Mode, Joy Division, Public Image Ltd, The Clash, etc. etc.).
I'm a big fan of bossa nova AND new wave, so the marriage of the two equals pure awesome! (y)

I heard a remix of the Nouvelle cover of 'This Is Not A Love Song' that made me weak in the knees, but I can't remember who did it...
Cannot wait to hear the new album. These chicks got it goin ON!

In case you were dying to know (which you all were, I'll bet ;) ) but the order I made way back in early July finally shipped to me on Tuesday (this limited edition import with songs not on the U.S. release).
Hooray, I'll get my new wave/bossa nova fix soon enough! (y)

Just lately everytime I've logged onto the net I find myself hovering over 'buy now' for a few minutes whilst looking at Bande A Part before deciding maybe not.
But then maybe I should seeing as the cover of Yazoo's Don't Go is pretty great.

So I was thinking, wouldn't it be funny if you were down here at that time and I refused to drive you to a record store?
Torturing Brett makes me lol. :o
Edit: Just saw his last post. Well, either way, I'm sure one of your bands has stuff coming out that week. I'll get you some other way.

Did anyone listen to this yet? I think it sucks. Maybe it's just my mood. I love their self-titled CD. I love music that sounds like them.
I was bothered by some of the songs on this, but I listened with an open mind. It's worse than I feared. Dancing with Myself? Jesus Christ.

I just think there are a lot of songs on there that don't work with Nouvelle Vague's style. Killing Moon works. And everything on the other CD worked. But there are a lot of dreadful choices on this one.
