Beastie Boys Pics and review from HMV 2day!!

ok so i was at hmv on yonge st. today (toronto) to catch the boys. i got there like an hour before the session started and was only about 30th in line (wristband policy in effect). lucky me cause by 4pm the line was around the block.:eek:

so i gotta say, that after reading a few ppls posts about them at the edge today or much music, they were nothing like that. THEY WERE LIVELY! Man! mca was chill but talked to me a bit and smiled a lot, adrock was hilarious, posing for the cameras, making jokes, and mike d was totally happy too, throwing me a big high five when i put out my hand. i told them that their music raised me and they were like father figures to me, mca laughed and adrock was like "well son i dunno about u" and D goes "ya...i was gonna say..." and gives me this look LOL, so i told them i was always home by curfew.:p

anyway today was awesome, i got them to each sign my poster from the video anthology and im gonna frame it. i feel like such a fanboy, but everyone there was so glad to see them.:cool:

ok heres the pics....i gotta say that due to there being no flashes allowed, and my hands shaking like a schoolgirl, most of them are blurry. plus we were like yelled at by security to leave allready, but i think they are great anyway. enjoy!!:D

It's incredible! Between all those pics, I think that there are no more than 3 oof them where AdRock is not moving.... he turns head left, and right, and he chews, and he talks with MikeD.... C'mon Adam! be quite and let ppl take pics of you!

hehe ya we talked a bit, but i was honestly nervous and probably made little sense. it was just wikkid making jokes with them, telling them i been listening to them since i was 3, and shaking all their hands. they really are like the closest things i have to heroes lol.

and adrockgrl, trust me your boy is a joker, he's totally the star of the group and he loves the spotlight.

I bet. I had a similar wristband situation in effect back in '98 when they had a secret show in Philly.

yeah i was there! best day ever. they were so nice, talked a bit, they all shook my hand.. adrock noticed i went back in after it to take pics and he kept smiling at me and he waved goodbye.. got my vinyl anthology signed by all three.. mca's was a couple hours earlier at edge102fm , and the other two finished it off for me at hmv! and i told yauch i was dirtydan on the message board and he wrote dirtydan on my box! told him pootytang from the boards says hi!

sorry guys no mashed potato question.. no time.. its like crazy when there is a huge rush of ppl and you feel you only have a split second to say anything.. i was saying how much this meant to me. i told them i always knew i would meet them one day, they are my absolute fav band of all time, yadda yadda yadda. they didnt roll their eyes at me or whatever. they knew i wasn't bullshitting. they all said thank you to me. they all shook my hand. mca didnt say anything about pooty. Oh yeah i told mike d that raising hell and licenced to ill were the first 2 tapes i ever bought, and that i have grown up with them for 20 years! thats when they said thank you! sorry i'm still stoked!

i was at the hmv signing/the edge as well and took 100+ pictures, although a lot came out really blurry because of not being able to use flash. anyway, they were really nice (as i obviously thought they would be, but i thought i'd be nervous but i hardly was) and it was great. also, zax=adrock's favourite word, apparently. very soon. tomarrow probably Zax. i have to go to a place to put em on cd for me and then you will have them all. well there's 75 of them so not all of them but the ones that turned out, are all yours! and those ppl i was with was more like my camera crew.. i'm the only real beastie boy fan of them! just 4 friends thats all! actually i made some beastie fans out of them yesterday!... which sucks in a way because they were all gunna get something autographed for me, and then they decided to keep the autographs for themselves :mad: oh well, my vinyl anthology looks amazing! i have nothing to complain about yesterday at all!

i was surprised to see myself in here..anyway..thanks for those pics because i didnt have my camera with me at that time.. hahaha

this day was one of the best days of my life..
i had a handshake with all three of them and told them that i loved their music..adrock said something after i told them that but i forgot what he exactly said..i also asked them how their new album is coming along..and adrock answered by sayin "its coming along" and then i forgot what mike D added in after that...-_-;;
mca seemed to be tired or a bit nervous in my eyes... did anyone else think this?
anyways, i got the dvd signed with my name on it and happy as hell.

This was a hell of an experience and i hope to see them in concert SOON.

Boy oh BOY! Those boys stole my heart enTIREly. What lovely accomodating people, am I right? Just seeing them in person was kind of earth shaking. Or at least body shaking. I was shaking. I was afterwards too. Tremoring down the street with a blissed out smile on my face.

I told MCA that I'm from Regina, Sask and I love the reference to my city on "Hey fuck you" even if it is a diss. He laughed. I died? A little, with joy. And AdRock = the handsomest man on the planet? YES! Mike D was really nice too. Oh boy. I'm swooning. LEGends.
