I for one play guitar, have been in bands and I've always seen people in other bands playing Metallica songs. I've seen the double bass on "One" done so many times.

Man, just start writing your own songs. Think about how much time it takes to master Metallica songs. In probably a little more time, you can create your own song and be proud of it.

Just helpfull advice.

O we have like 10 songs...i just didn't post them. they're metal. But we don't just scream and stuff, we do regular vocals.

You'd probably get more views if you post some of your stuff. I'd certainly give it a look because I like to see what creativity of new artists are up to but, I'm having a debate with myself to click these vids because as said. I've seen so many Metallica cover bands and such that it lost it's suprise back in '92 for me.

I also know that alot of big musicians started by playing Metallica, Slayer and such. Like Dimebag. I bought a recent tribute DVD and he was playing Metallica.

I dunno. It's just IMO but I've never even tried other people's music because I want to put all of that effort into my own stuff.
