I'm curious how wide your musical tastes are, what are two sounds that would completely crash on the streets but yet you could enjoy listening in a day

Hmm, you're right. He didn't know which Beck song was covered in a 90's Johnny Cash release - he's probably a fraud.

It was on the second CD that Rick Rubin produced for his comeback albums, whatever that was called. The whole CD was covers. He picked that one from Beck...I saw this video once of Beck watching Johnny talk about it on TV. (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5398586314871320881)

Truth be told, I'm much better acquainted with Johnny Cash's '50s and '60s releases than most of his latter years.

So yeah, I'm a fraud! Better tar and feather me right now!

I was just kiddin' - it's redic to expect you to know everything like that. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that everyone is better acquainted with his 50's and 60's releases.

And not to mention he covered a song off Beck's "Stereopathic Soul Manure." I hated that album, too. :(

I hear that. I had to freakin' go dig it up after I found out Johnny covered it. I don't care what anyone says, that album was trash and Beck meant to make it trash.

The hard part is that you have to like the music within the same day. I go in phases.

I will listen to medieval religious music and electronica in the same day because they're both good kinds of music to study by.

Nick Drake ----> Nine Inch Nails
That's a good one. I listen to a lot of both. What they have in common is that they make albums you can listen to all the way through. That's a lot more rare than it should be.
