i hope and pray that this conflict in the middle east does not spread, that it subsides and that we can quell the violence and terrorism inflicted upon and by both sides. we need to stand up in any discussion, in any forum, in every protest, in every way possible against the us involvement in this war. we must not let this conflict become an excuse for us to provoke further war (with iran), which in a broader sense would intimidate and inspire greater death and destruction upon the innocent of that region and the world. the global political arena is being set for world war 3. we are being prepared to accept it.
be strong.

Yes, the shit is fucking nuts in the middle east. But it has nothing to do with fucking terrorism and everything to do with paranoia and bad US foreign policy reflected back at us by an unfeeling puppet of media.

I'm surprised you're still whining about the world going to shit. Yes, those people over there are desperate, angry, and hot in the fucking desert sun. they want to kill each other and they hate us for driving around H3's and making shows like "Two and a Half Men". Shit, what can you do to change there mind? Perhaps going away from there desert homes would help, but right now I don't know if our regime will be ok with that idea.

But for fucks sake man, are you gonna spend you whole goddamn life sitting there bitching about how shit may float over here and blow up? Hell, it probably will. But who fucking cares? There is next to nothing we can do save vote douchebag and his fucking dollar-posse out of office, but that's not until 2008. Even then our country is kinda fucked.

So, my advice to you, you whiny pussy, is to move the fuck out of the US while you still can. And for fucks sake grow some goddman balls.

skra, im not a whining pussy. in fact, i am informed and aware of what is going on behind the scenes. and i do spend the majority of my time off the computer, not whining, or calling people whining pussies.
and actually, to wait until 2008 is fucking pisspoor pathetic. do you even understand how many people have died as a result of this administration already? do you even care that it is your government that is representing you, that is making decisions that are ruining the lives and inspiring children with such fierce hatred towards americans as to spawn entire generations which will remember and want to avenge the death of their parents, grandmothers, sisters and brothers who were murdered innocently while you sat and waited. fuck you.

all i wish to do is put it out there, to put the hope for peace, for diplomacy, decency and common sense. we are human beings, we exist in a universe so beautiful and vast, and all we are doing is destroying, pissing ourselves, and waiting.
the power of thought and merely putting out good vibes is all it takes sometimes to inspire a cascade of positive effects. its a huge hill to travel up, but every little positive prayer, hope, and every ounce of compassion and intelligence helps. on the contrary, direct negative, aggressive emotions and thought-waves promote nothing but destructive forces. back off. rise up.

I believe it. But what other responsibility do you have? For example, my guess is you lead a life which is driven almost entirely by your own needs, your self. When you sit on a big-gay-throne of baloney you've built for yourself, it's easy to shit out optimistic rhetoric onto the world. Those of us who have other shit to worry about other than ourselves understand that. That being said...

and actually, to wait until 2008 is fucking pisspoor pathetic.
You're right, it is. I'm a realist, and I know that there are scant-few things I can do to make a difference. for example, I push some weight here at my job, and although not alot, I have influence on decisions which use oil and lots of it. I've inititated discussions with people internally here on using alternatives, such as soy plastics to buffer our consumption and put ourselves more in a realistic position for the future. Not to mention my involvment in RIPRIG, USPRIG. I vote with my goddamn dollar all the time. But I don't need to tell you this. I'm sure you're involved with shit as well, but again, it much easier when you only have yourself to worry about.

do you even understand how many people have died as a result of this administration already? do you even care that it is your government that is representing you, that is making decisions that are ruining the lives and inspiring children with such fierce hatred towards americans as to spawn entire generations which will remember and want to avenge the death of their parents, grandmothers, sisters and brothers who were murdered innocently while you sat and waited. fuck you.

Well aware. I have family that lives in Israel, you douchbag. It fucking sucks. There is no doubt about it that it sucks. But what do we do? Marching around with a sign or posting crap on a message board is not the answer. Especially here, where we are all like-minded in our political views.

all i wish to do is put it out there, to put the hope for peace, for diplomacy, decency and common sense. we are human beings, we exist in a universe so beautiful and vast, and all we are doing is destroying, pissing ourselves, and waiting.

This is horseshit. The world was at war WAY before we were here. We as humans will ALWAYS destroy each other. I choose not to fight. I welcome others to join me, but I don't expect the world to change by goddamn positive thought, because that's just retarded. Force the people who make the decisions to run out of funding - that's the way you make a change and the best way to do that is to get a job where you can push some money around.

the power of thought and merely putting out good vibes is all it takes sometimes to inspire a cascade of positive effects. its a huge hill to travel up, but every little positive prayer, hope, and every ounce of compassion and intelligence helps. on the contrary, direct negative, aggressive emotions and thought-waves promote nothing but destructive forces. back off. rise up.

Wow, this is fucking gay. It amazes me that you are still this way after 4 years. What the fuck is wrong with you? This "good vibes" shit only works when people are ready to be honest with themselves. Give me a break...negative energy. You have no idea what kind of fucking pain those people in Israel must be feeling. You can sit there and have tears drip from your eyes and be positive, shit won't fucking change. We live in fucked up world where fucked up shit happens. The best way to inact social change is by respecting people in your everyday life, help people who are down on their luck, enjoy time with good people in person, spend money at locally owned places...

Vote with your dollar, stop your whiny bitching. Sitting on your ass and "spreading the vibes" is horseshit.

Yesterday, I ate a bit of grapefruit, and one of the tiny little segment things got caught between my front teeth but didn't burst. It was weird, like having a small water balloon in my mouth. I slid it back and forth for a bit before popping it and swallowing the tasty juice inside. (y)

Nah, not one of the big segments like you get in a Chocolate Orange, I mean the smaller ones that they are made up of, they're kind of like muscles are to humans or something.

skra you do your thing and i'll do mine. you have no idea what i do with my life, with my time, so back the fuck off and go vote with your dollar and do all those things which you claim are doing a world of good. i do my things. in all fairness, since you insist upon ripping me apart and self righteously boasting about how you are bringing soy plastics into the workplace, heres what i do and why i think it makes a difference:

i believe that the most direct and powerful expression of civil disobedience and personal empowerment is to become sustainable and independent. i choose not to participate in the 9-5 social scene and instead spend my time seeking ways to become more independent. right now, i am working with several friends and we are purchasing land, fixing up houses and selling them so that in the near future we can afford to set up a small farm, which we invision might grow to become a small community centered around organic agriculture and sustainable architecture. by joining with others and becoming independent you empower yourself and the community. this lifestyle sperates individuals from the monoculture, agrichemical, and energy industries. by doing this you produce your own food water and electricity and dont need to support any aspect of the corrupt system which has infiltrated every level of the government
i am also working with water and flowforms to help raise vitality and water quality which could then in turn be used to treat wastewater, run-off, greywater and sewage naturally, in conjunction with constructed wetlands. this seperates us from the chemical industries which run current municipal wastewater treatment facilites that have to be subsidized because they are so expensive and release all kinds of harmful chemicals such as chlorine into the environment.

i buy organic food and support local farmers.

when i buy new clothing, i buy hemp clothing because it is more renewable than cotton and requires no fertilizers or pesticides and much less water. buying hemp is a direct slap in the face to the government

i seek and spread truth. be it internet or day to day conversation, i bring up these things and speak to others about them. i designed my entire 5th year architectural curriculum at iowa state university to promote and educate others on the principles of permaculture and sustainability.

i protest

i place my opinions and thoughts in public places.

what it all adds up to, is that for me, at this point in my life, i believe that personal empowerment through education and sustainability are necessary.

so go to work, preach soy plastics, vote and slave to the dollar, and talk all the shit you want. but you have no right to judge me because you dont know me, you dont know what i do, you just cant handle someone with a different view trying to spread some positive, action provoking ideas.

so what, i dream, i pray, i hope for a better future. and you are a realist.

LOL you are still a whiny hippie.
good luck with your farm man.
I doubt you'll actaully do it.

people like you drag your feet, talk all sorts of game, and usually don't ever do shit.
but whatever.

I respect your intentions though about being off the grid. That shit is kinda cool. I had plans to put up a small wind turbine in my backyard (as I live on a bay here in RI), but I looked into the expense on the generators/batteries and it was bananas expensive and then my finances went to shit on me. eh. someday, but I ain't making no promises. day-to-day.
