When I think about this stuff, it just makes me wonder all the more why there is so much war and strife on this planet. Because it all just so doesn't friggin' matter really, you know?

Yeah, why don't we just send all the refugees to Jupiter? Cuz, like, this planet doesn't matter because it's small!

Here (http://www.aoas.org/albums/album03/hubble_ultra_deep_field_1.jpg) is a tiny speck of the sky as seen through Hubble's eyes. There are ~10,000 objects in this photo-spec and nearly every one of them is a galaxy.

When you think of Earth in those terms--of it being part of a solar system that's within just one of those ~10,000 galaxies--and then when you think that this dot-sized photo represents only a tiny bit of what's out there--then you start to get a real sense of our significance.

I think you may have missed my point. But, um, OK, whatever.

it still trips me out sometimes that we are on this little, tiny, spinning planet that really is just a small speck in the universe. And yet this world is full of complicated, intricate creatures.

It's cool to think about.

It's because of this that I'm 100% convinced that we are not alone.... I'd be stupid to think that.... In a such huge univers....

nice. now think about how incredibly tiny a human is, and how love is bigger than anything else. ;) and how our opinions and lame e-fights don't mean shit anywhere else. just on this planet.

anyone who thinks that we're the only living creatures in space is a fucking moron.

Things like this make me want to kill myself because there is just no point.

I want to see fucking aliens.
don't they deserve privacy too?

venus looks like a spherical souffle. the planet, not the boardmember.

oh, and:
Interviewer: Can you destroy the earth?
Tick: Egad. I hope not. That's where I keep all my stuff.
