It'd be nice to see some money help out Katrina Victims, or the poor, or AIDS patients, or starving children, or elderly without power in heatwaves, or securing our ports, or....you get the idea.

They're treating this situation like it's the end of the stalinist regime. Strangely enough, the ussr survived stalins' death.

Yeah. We've already got our hands full with all our other wars, we really shouldn't be starting shit with MORE people. (n)

good point. WHY THE FUCK DOESNT THIS MONEY GO TO NEW ORLEANS? or to something worthwhile and positive. i read somewhere that we have participated in 56 coup d'etat's around the world. i think it was a chomsky book. well, that was before iraq, so 57, and the failed one in venezuela, 58, and the ousting of aristide from haiti (i think) 59, and this one should be 60 if my numbers are right...anyways, the money will probably go towards paramilitaries, and more dictators and totally destroy the country in the end. or maybe they'll be saved and we can exploit them. hmmmm, how can we take control of this one?
