The blade is good, and I get a good shave for a couple weeks (even if the lotion strip is completely gone by day three), but -- MAN. $9 for four cartridges? That just seems too expensive.

I'd go with an electric razor, but the only one I ever used that didn't pull out chunks of my skin was one a roommate had in 1994 that cost about $150 back then.

Note to hair: STOP GROWING THANK YOU.

How much are they where you are?

Am I out of line? It just seems too expensive. It's like shoes.

I use a Mach 3 Power Nitro with regular Mach 3 cartridges. I refuse to buy Power cartridges for 4 dollars more. And forget Fusion altogether. 5 blades? Give me a break already.

Hmm...It sounds like I'm actually talking about something cool here. Like weapons.

I only shave once a week, so a blade lasts me quite some time.

Those 4 cartriges for $9 is pretty much all I have to buy for a year.

same with the Venus by Gillette for women....for refill razors it's over $10. Oh the woahs of being girlie.

Yeah -- I hear a basso-hero voice when I re-read this.

Dang. That's, like, two months for me. Which I guess isn't that expensive, pro-rata.

I tried women's disposable razors, thinking that maybe tough leg stubble might equal my neck and head stubble. I see no difference, but at least now I have resrves: one at my work desk in case I find a missed a spot, and then some for occasions like last week when I went on a business trip for a few days.

I've had the same Mach 3 cardtridge for 4 months now. Still have two more to go. A three pack lasts me like a year and a half.

God, I wish I could do that. By the end of the second week, I'm shaving over the same spot about five times trying to get it smooth.

This is so weird, my co-workers and I had almost this exact conversation today on a smoke break. Razors in general are waaaay over-priced. I'm seriously going to break down and buy an expensive electric.

I'm thinking about doing the same. Maybe if a place like Overstock has something at 70% off, it'd be worth it.

It's just hard enough to lay out $9 for a few razors, let alone $80 or so.

Yeah I but they last a whole lot longer so it will pay for itself. I dunno my main reason is because I had a 4 wheeler accident a few weeks back and wound up getting 12 stitches in my chin. Well it's healing okay but there is this one spot that kind of sticks out on the scar and I cut it every single morning when I shave and it hurts like a son of a bitch...

Ah. I used to have that problem as I would shave my wrists in the morning.

The main reason I get disposables is becuase the cartridges are pricey... and im cheap. I tried the 5 bladed one a few days ago, honestly I couldn't feel it, it was that smooth.

shut it tzar! :D

$9 for 4? Try $12 for 4. Fuck you, Venus Divine.

Luckily, when I'm feeling like a cheap bastard I get the $9 ones. And it's really sad that that's my "cheap bastard" alternative, because anything less than that cuts the shit out of my legs. :(

Shhh don't say that! The Shaving industry has spies everywhere if they read that they'll jack up the price instantly!
