Holy crap. (http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=24080) That looks NOTHING like him. Bizarre.
PT Anderson's stuff is pretty uneven, but I still give him a shot. He's got a real voice.

no way! crazy.
i find dd-l (incidentally, my brother's name is daniel, my mum's maiden name is day and we come from lewis: kerrrrr-azy!) hot but not at the same time. he's just so intense, man. he looks hard to interview. and his wife, too. they look like the sort of couple who would make your held explode with pure intellectual pressure if you were invited round for tea.
i know someone whose friend was picked up in ireland by daniel day-lewis on his motorbike (near his castle. yes, castle!) and taken to school one day. iz true!

Daniel Paul Day Thomas Lewis Anderson scans quite nicely. Maybe we could suggest it in one of the other threads.
Like Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland.

He's been busted for speeding; I trust he was more careful with your friend in tow. :D

Both of these guys are pretty awesome. I wasn't a huge fan of that stupid ending to Magnolia, though. And Gangs of New York had more than a few flaws. But other than that...

Gangs of New York sucked; let's face it.

Yeah, that's what I meant to say. But DDL still did a good job, I think.
And that magnificent set! Wow! It looked NOTHING like Rome!

ooh, i wouldn't say it sucked. i certainly enjoyed it.
just at times it felt like a more classed-up version of far and away, ya know?
i hate that irish/scottish immigrant themed shit. i just get so tired of it. i've seen every possible plot development on this topic going. there's only so many angry celtic people i can deal with, man!
dd-l wad definitely the finest thing in it. the cinematography and costumes, too.
cameron diaz was not.

Fucking GREAT job, I thought.
the story I really wanted to see was the feuding between he and the Priest (whoever Liam Neeson was) leading up to Bill gouging his eye out. That would've been a movie.

God, I hated it. That's the first Scorsese movie I ever walked out of. I've rented it twice since then, trying to see if it's worth a damn. I really don't think it is. Tedious and the central love story is unbelievable.

Anytime Liam Neeson dies in a movie, it puts a curse on the whole film.

You need to see just how stupid the ending is, though. Think Rocky II or Mission Impossible II.

Never saw MI:2, but did finally sit all the way through GONY. Horrible, unbelievable ending.
Leo really needs to be cast properly to do a good job. He was better than he deserved to be in The Aviator.

exactly
I will give just about anything a chance if DDL is in it. Even when it's bad, he's interesting.
