I've noticed that there is almost two personalities for each member. It seems like once in a while they act totally crazy and it's almost hard to watch in an interview because you can tell that everyone but them is totally uncomfortable. This is when I figure they are in their stage personas. Adrock, MCA, and Mike D. The shift is pretty noticable. For example, Mike seems to act completely different on stage than he does if you ever hear him just speaking normally. Horovitz's voice changes... he's a lot more nasal on stage and even in some interviews when he's being a goofball. Yauch is a little different, he tends to stay with the same personality... but I did notice he's the least likely of all of them to censor his lyrics, even if they're violent or disrespectful.

Has anyone else noticed this? It seems like when they talk seriously they become totally humble and have a lot of intelligent things to say. Then other times everything they say is a joke and their personalities completely change. I see this as a shift from their everyday personalities to stage personas. I'm sure it's common amongst performers, but it is very interesting.

i kind of noticed that as well but just with the most recent tour, before that he was still switching up some words.

Are you saying you've never noticed this or you just don't understand?

I like the double personality...
I think it's interesting and yes, I did noticed that before, expecially the voice-changing of AdRock... but I think they are lovely in all the 2 versions!(y)

Whatever the personality, Mike D is the King Cheiftan of the Funky Republic.
