yeah man. get a two-way headphone cable, they're dirt cheap at radio shack, then hook it up, no big deal. sounds fine.

a) buy a new stereo, a cheap one with an aux-out per NLOL
b) get the iTrip thing for the Nano, but that might not help you because all the low-band stations in LA are taken up with bad local radio stations.

the total cost to me for doing the new cd player route was $99 for the deck, $2 for the aux cable.

I have a video Ipod, and I use this thing (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7048312&type=product&id=1107956964452). It was quite a bit more expensive than the Itrip, but I had heard about a lot of problems and static with Itrip. It gives you the option to have 3 stations loaded, and once I found a clear one, it's been awesome.

Echewta...FM transmitter. If you are basically just playing 128 kbit/s mp3's and aren't running some pimp hi-fi stereo it won't really matter as far as quality goes. That and you could take the FM transmitter with you in another car.

Even though Apple released that iTrip thingamabobbi any old FM transmitter should work because it uses the 1/8th in. headphone jack on the iPod.

EDIT : Dandy, that looks like a good product but you pay out the ass for Monster products. He could get something comparable for less than 1/3 the price you paid.

Hmmm, but skra75 makes a point about the low band stations being taken up. Except they do not suck. 89.9 is the best radio station on the planet.

Living in L.A. could make the iTrip thing a iProblem because of all the other Ipoders on the road next to me. I don't want to hear anyone's Jewel.
