im a pretty adamant hater of fast food in general (except mexican. you cant hate on mexican). but i have a weakness... the fast food breakfast. in particular, the burger king value meal#4: the french toast stick breakfast with hash browns and a big ol' cup of coffee. once in a blue i treat myself to this little bit of delicious evilness. and i had to share that.

Nah you are so wrong. After a big night, wake up at like 2pm, and go to a place that serves breakfast all day. Usually for like 10 bucks Australian you can get what most places call a big breakfast or a full breakfast. Sobers you up so quickly, unless you have a beer with breakfast :o . Fast food is only good for when you are drunk and decide you are hungry even though you had dinner 4 hours ago.

oh im a fan of the full breakfast. i love me some louie's (my favorite diner EVER) breakfast any time of day. but this is about the fast food. the fast food that is generally icky but value meal #4 is so special.

I understand what you mean, but I have gone off fast food breakfasts so quickly. I used to love some fake pancakes/hotcakes or a bacon and egg mcmuffin. But now i literally can't stomach junk food like that unless I'm drunk. That includes KFC, mcdonalds, hungry jacks and all souvlaki places.

Hungover + getting up at 4'oclock + not wanting to prepare food = Country Burger Meal at BK
Mostly, I take it not at the nearest Burger King but at the train station cuz you can watch travellers and misbehave...

Carl's Jr. has this ridiculous concoction right now called something like the Ultimate Breakfast Burger: sausage, egg, cheese, bacon, hash browns and sauce on a bun. It's absolutely nuts.

The hash brown nuggets are what really puts it over the top, to me. I mean, that's just ridiculous.

yah, i hear you.

only done it once though, with mcdonald's. some sort of hashbrown/scrambled egg/cheese goodness in a bagel. a bagel! i could predict it becoming a nasty habit so have forced myself never to enter the place again. so far it has lasted.

nowdays if i want a "fast food" breakfast i just go to one of the numerous wee shops down here that will serve you a scrambled egg & potato scone roll. omgoodness, it is delicious. and sorta healthier. only just!

i would worry about cholesterol if i didnt have doctors telling me i apparently dont eat enough junk food. my cholesterol levels are both very low, the good and the bad. my not eating red meat balances shit out so my cholesterols are terribly low even though i have a relatively high-fat diet. it's just that my fatty foods tend to be in the form of avocadoes and almonds and of the dairy sort. not of the fried saturated fat foods kind. lucky me, i guess.

^you should look into grapeseed oil. i cook almost everything with it, and get products with it added so i don't have to worry about my good cholesterol (a common problem for vegans) (y)

What about olive oil? That's a good source of fats.

yeah, but grapeseed oil is good for raising your levels of good cholesterol. and it's got a high smoke point, so you can use it for stir-frying and other applications, whereas i only use olive oil for low- to medium-heat cooking.

Gotcha.

I've never used grapeseed oil. Closest I ever got was.... gosh, making dolmas, I guess.

people have told me it has a slightly sour taste to it but i've never noticed that. i usually don't use much oil when i'm cooking anyway, so i couldn't say. occasionally i use sesame oil when i'm stir-frying something for flavor, but i don't think my palate's all that refined. olive oil's great for sauteeing. oh, and a nice thing about grapeseed is the brand i use is made from leftover seeds from the wine industry. recycle, reduce, reuse, and close the loop!

if we're (and i mean we, i never do this on my own) deep-frying something, though, it's canola.

Does anybody like Dunkin Donuts breakfast items? Cause I do. Alot.
