I have a plane ticket to go to Minneapolis today to do spoons with The Notorious LOL. My flight leaves from Dulles in DC. With the terrorist warnings being super high, what would you do? Would you go?
I don't know what to do. :(

Can you change the dates on your ticket? If so I'd postpone

oh, yeah, i'd go.
i went on a plane on september 12th, 2001. mind you, that was from stornoway - glasgow - london, and i dinnae think stornoway is a prime terrorist target. what are they gonna do? nuke the sheep?
anyway, i think the terrorist alerts are more for longhaul planes from the uk to the us.

I saw a documentary on TV with Samuel L. Jackson that says there are SNAKES ON A PLANE!
Don't go. I've seen Anaconda. It doesn't end well for Jon Voight.

I'd go!
I think it's highly unlikely a terrorist would try the same ol' plane stunt again, especially with all of the mad security going on in the airports.
Terrorists aren't stupid. I think they'd come up with something more creative this time around if they were going to try to fuck us up, like hijack a tea cup at Disney Land and spin it uncontrollably into Cinderella's castle.
If they took down an icon like Mickey Mouse, all of America would shut down.

Why anyone would willingly fly regardless of circumstances is beyond me. I won't even drink Red Bull because it'll give me wings.

dude. if you dont go, the terrorist have won.
actually, i'd go anyway. with the warnings this high, you gotta expect that security is 100X as strong. i just wouldnt bring any nail files or tweezers with me.

I heard on the radio that you can't have any liquids on the plane. You can't board with beverages, mouthwash, liquid makeup, etc. I guess that'll save some room in my carry-on. :o
I'm more concerned about actually being in the airport than I am about the flight itself.

If I don't go, then the terrorists have won via forfeit, and nobody likes winning via forfeit. So technically, I have the upper hand emotionally.
i wouldn't worry about it. just go. but leave super early. because its going to take hours and hours and hours to sit through all the extra tight security this morning. this lady i work with had a flight out of dulles and she decided against it because she was didn't want to wait any longer. then again she is very impatient. that was about 30 minutes ago..so who knows how it is now.
but if you do go, you have to stop by old dominion brewery before hand and order a millenium or two to make the airport experience that much more bearable. or is it bareable? you know what i mean.
edit: i just heard on the radio that they are allowing people to fly with no problem...but they have to be nude. all they are allowed are their whitey tighties in a clear plastic bag.

I think that you should go through with the trip unless it's really going to bother you.
It's a pain to go through the extra security and I'd pay careful attention to what they're doing with carry on luggage (flights in and out of the UK aren't allowing women to carry purses even). Pack light and don't bring anything you care about. (My sister still hasn't gotten over the confiscation of her favorite tweezers the week after 9/11.)
You should also know that Minnesota in August can be beastly if it's hot and humid. Don't judge us based upon this trip. :)
the chances of you getting blown up today are really really low, if you think about it. i'd go.

If you think about it, the chance that the plan crash are higher then the chance that the terrorists might hacked your plane.
i said you should go!

Yeah you should go
you have a larger risk of catching cancer on your way to the airport than blowing up in the plane, i say go

I think you need to see if the NLOL Threat level has been raised. If so, that would make me think twice.

Aren't you nervous when people get up to use the bathroom? I believe Homeland Security wants to discourage this.

you just cracked the conspiracy. it's all a ploy by the liquor industry to protect their profits.
or the airline industry, i dunno who gets the money from that

People think I'm just a crack pot with wild ideas of how the government and big business is using us. But then I finally reach someone. Someone like you Bob. And it makes my fight worth it.
Homeland Security is working closely with the Airline, Liquor, and Bottle Water industries to insure they reap huge profits from airline travellers thirst. Congress is deep in the pockets of these industries which is why you will never see an inquiry into these accusations. Its a shame. We have nobody to blame but ourselves and Qdrop.
oh, yeah, i'd go.

i was flying on a plane from munich to london on that same day!!!! trippy!!! we may have crossed paths!
ADD: When I was in the midst of my long distance BBMB romance, I would've died to have to forfeit a trip... in fact, I flew off to meet him in person for the first time the day the war started in 2003, so I'd say GO!

if you don't go then terrorists have achieved their goal. Fuck those bastards. Running scared like this is what they thrive off of and I wouldn't even give them the satisfaction of letting them think that I'm a little worried.

With the amount of internal flights going on the chances of yours being blown up is fairly low...this plot was to get transatlantic planes...i say go.

A good hug is worth the risk....
Hopefully I'll be experiencing that soon as well... not with a BBMB'er tho....
