I thought, I heard or read somewhere that just like Fight For Your Right, the Beastie's dont play No Sleep Till' Brooklyn anymore?

Hopefully on the next tour, they'll play it. Because that song is just too good to pass up! (y)

yeah last I had heard they didnt play any of the LTI songs anymore, and then on steve Harvey they're bustin it out with Brass Monkey and what not.
I dont know why they ever stopped playing the songs? I always thought it was because of Def Jam but they're playing them now and I dont think anything got settled did it?
Maybe its because they lyrics were "wrong" and they outgrew that stage?
Just tossing out idea'rs..

the lawsuit was settled.

it may have been for numorous reasons. it could have been due to the lawsuit or it could have been that they wanted to put the LTI days behind them and concentrate on the material that was released aftrwards.

The played LTI songs, if you look at bootlegs of gigs in the 90's they were playing "Posse In Effect", "Slow and Low", "Time To Get Ill" & "Paul Revere" for example, even "Rhymin & Stealin". The only tracks they hadnt been playin was FFYRTP, Girls, She's On It etc. cos of obvious reasons, them being more politically correct since then.
Def Jam couldnt have stopped 'em playing anything live.

The most obvious reason being that those songs suck and I'd rather here RRNN or OLTNYC at this point.

^ very true. Im not fond of FFYR, and I'd much rather hear RRNN instead, but No sleep till brooklyn is a classic.. At least in my eyes. Im sure a lot of other people would agree with me.

not a fan of OLTNYC live at all, but yah, she's on it does suck, the other two, well, not really great live songs for them at this stage, and girls was out of the question all together (did they ever perform it live?) -->adrock that is

Man, it's great seeing the Boys play that song again. They look awesome singing, and sound even better. Better than I expected. They are just too awesome. Looks like they had a total blast singing that one too.

a record company really cant stop a band from performing "live" songs but if it were to be recorded (SNL, DAVE CHAPPELE, ETC) they cant do it.

it goes along the line of when you see a group perform, they once in a while will grab another group's song and perform it live. its much better if they get the artist to go along, however.

Not necessarily LTI, but I think the B-boys are now at a time in their career where it would be nice if at a live show they could perform an entire album of theirs from top to bottom. Every week or month of the tour, they play a different album top to bottom. That would be nice to see.(lb) (y)

That's a great idea for when they settle down and are doing regular Vegas lounge shows.

Seriously...LTI Mondays, PB Tuesdays, CYH Wednesdays, IC Thursdays, HN Fridays, TT5B Saturdays...and Country Mike Sundays. (y)
