I will visit NYC pretty soon, beside watching Roger Federer on court at US open I would like to check some beastie spots.
Does one of them own a bar, store, a restaurant or something? What historic places would you recommend for visiting (maybe some famous locations of their video clips, or their favorite restaurants :))?
First, I thought that X-Large was founded in NYC, but I was wrong :( They don't even have a store there :( :( So I will visit Yellow Rat Bastard, hopefully they have a good selection...
Thanks for any advices!
Regards from Zurich, Switzerland :)

dont take my word for it, but i recall one of them, (pretty sure it was adrock) used to hang at a record store called the rat cage. i have no clue if it exists anymore, but i remember him saying he hung out there. you would have to probably ask someone from new york to tell you where it is or if it even still exists.

this thread is a pretty good start... (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?p=1254899#post1254899)
you could spend a whole day in all 5 boroughs just trying to cover An Open Letter to NYC...
here is more info on X-Large, courtesy of beastiemania (http://beastiemania.com/qa/xlarge.php)
the usual suspects-59 Chrystie, the intersection of Ludlow & Rivington, etc., blahblahblah
my personal recommendations-Tompkins Square, Madison Square Garden, take a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge...
have fun

And will check the other thread...
Any other advices for shopping? I am looking for stuff like a pair of nice sneakers (adidas superstars, or other sneakers), a Spiewak jacket, timbuk2 messenger bag, sunglasses (electric or something like this).
Hopefully there something good at Bowery Ballroom... ;) Otherwise it will be tough persuading my girlfriend for the Rancid Show :D
