I dunno. But, on a similar note, my cell phone will actually tell me if someone's ignoring my call. But only if they stop it before it reaches voice mail.

This rarely happens, of course, seeing as how I am the shit.

This is EXACTLY what I asked yesterday. Because my one depressive friend calls me and ONLY me, and does it often. It's fine, as long as she's not in her "Woe is me, I suck" attitude that she gets in. Then, if I hang out with her, she acts like a depressed asshole. If I tell her that I'm busy or tired or any other legitimate excuse, she acts like a depressed asshole. If I just don't pick up my phone and make up an excuse later, she acts like a depressed asshole. I think maybe if I was able to send her DIRECTLY to voicemail, she can believe my phone is off and therefore CAN'T get mad at me, because it seems like I'm not avoiding her and it was just a coincidence.

Sometimes I just don't want to pick up because no matter what I pick, I get bitchiness. I just don't want to deal with it and have a legitimate excuse.

Alas, I don't think there's a way to block someone's number without them knowing. A damn shame. :(

I tend to be very direct and honest and that has worked for me, but I have little experience dealing with people who are irrational. I only had a semi-stalker once about ten years ago and I think I handled it badly.

Do you know the number of the phone the guy is using? Because if so, you might call the phone company and ask if there's a way to block his calls. It's worth asking, and I have a feeling that there is a way.

If you're scared and it keeps up, you should call the police and see if they have anything to recommend. It might depend on whether the guy has said anything that's obviously threatening, and most creeps don't do that. But I'm a believer in trusting your gut. Sorry I'm not any help.

If this is on a mobile phone you might have the option to set his own personal ring to *Silent* so it's not a problem. The texting thing is pretty annoying though. Hard to stop that. If you're lucky enough to get Zount to answer the phone then that should be a 'problem solved' type of event.

I did the same thing and kept saying "NAH ITS COOL JUST TAKE IT EASY WITH THE CALLS... I WOULDNT WANT THINGS TO GET AWKWARD" after any of his statements. Which meant if you call again I'll go to your house, find your white Jeep Wrangler, and smash all of your windows out with a crowbar.

But if that doesn't stop then go to the police and show them the amount of calls and texts you've gotten and explain that you told this guy to stop. So don't delete them.
