"!!!" <--- that's actually the name of the band

I've got this album called 'Louden Up Now' and yes by a band called "!!!". It's pretty cool. I read that this band's name is pronounced by saying 3 of the same sounds (consisting of one syllable) in a row. (sounds a bit lame to me) Regardless, I'm finding them fun to listen to. (y) A lil bit electro-disco-ish with attitude and creativity. I'm listening to them right now as a matter of fact. !!! is pronounced by "saying" three of the same sounds (consisting of one syllable) in a row. The most common pronunciation is "chk chk chk" or "chik chik chik".

!!! formed out of the bands The Yah Mos, Black Liquorice, and the Popsmashers and has since released two albums (!!! and Louden up now), a split with Out Hud, and a bunch of singles & EPs.

i dont understand why everyone gets so riled by this band's name. i think it's perfect.

anyhoo...yes. great album. they are so much better live though. and check out "out hud" (mentioned above) too. they share a few members. definately a similar vibe.

The band's name makes it slightly difficult to search on the web and what not, and trying to pronounce it can make one feel like a fool. I'm not really complaining, just stating the obvious I guess.

I would really like to check out their live show. Oh and thanks, I shall look into your further recommendation.

Most people call them "chk-chk-chk" or "tic-tic-tic", I think.

No matter what you call them, they're awesome!

they're alright. I think they toured or are going to tour with the Red Hot CHilli Peppers of all bands...

chk chk chk is how cort says it, I like to say toot toot toot.

The name of the band is clearly "the exclamation marks." Too bad if they don't like it.
