I'm finally convinced we've arrived. With war raging in the World's most plentiful oil fields and the United States Oil reserve being tapped, we're there.

It's unfolding now bigger than ever. The naysayers will have to re-evaluate terms like "peak oil" "global warming" and "oil-based economy" because it is on baby, IT IS ON!

What will you do to get through this?

Well, I let my car die and now I ride a bike.

Other than that - what the hell do you want? My occupation is so perfectly bourgeois that it sickens me to think how quickly people like me would die off in a starvation-crisis level situation. My job depends on the sophisticated industrial consumption of natural resources on a massive level, but it's the only way for me to pay the bills. I guess I could pick up an assault rifle and arm myself against the neighbours, but that's really no way to produce a positive long-term solution to these problems.

So I'll settle for the education of as many people as possible along the broadest lines possible. That's the only way out no matter how far down the line you look.

I wonder if rentals of The End of Suburbia are increasing.
