Jill Carroll and the choice that almost killed her

If Jill Carroll had to do it over, she wouldn't have scheduled her interview two days in advance. That decision gave her captors 48 hours to plan how to kill her driver, snatch her away and leave her in months of hostage hell. The headline says Person made a choice that might have KILLED her" while the actual story said "Person made choice that might have SAVED her." In other words, the news outlet fudged (or lied) about what the story was about to grab the readers' attention.

It's just an example of sensationalism; not a big deal.
