[Planetary]

A man lives on the tenth floor of a building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator - or if it was raining that day - he goes back to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the seventh floor and walks up three flights of stairs to his apartment. Can you explain why?

Is he fairly short and can only reach the bottom row of buttons? When someone else is in the elevator, he asks them to hit the button for him or he uses his umbrella to do it himself.

He should just always walk the stairs because it's good exercise. See, I will turn any of these threads into one about exercising. :o

If I'm right, do I get a prize and if so, do I get to name it and if so, I want a post with a happy picture in it. :)
