ok boys, its been a couple years since your last album, im needing a new fix. i want you to bring mario c, rick rubin, the biz and the chemical brothers back for your next album. i love you guys, youre on my license plate...but i want to see you guys spread your wings again.. also another thing...gimmie a lil less of the political lyrics and more of the personal lyrics. oh, also...if you need me to come over and help ya some with the album, just write me an e-mail, im sure i can get some time off of work to give ya a hand.

so what do the rest of you guys wanna see with the next album? anyone you want to hear with them? maybe hear more of them playing instruments again? any roducers youd like to hear them with? lemmie know! lets all get back on here and give adam, adam and mike a kick in the ass and tell them to get back in the studio if theyre not there already. oh by the way, adam, mike and adam, get on here once in a while and chat with us!

Word up.

I'd like to see some insane scratching from MMM, I suppose it's inevitable that there will be. Instruments would be excellent, guitar, Gratitude and SGTG type songs. Along those I would like to hear some political verses.

apparently they have been in the studio and Horovitz sounded pretty excited about the new work (y)

I second your request about Columbus (or Cleveland) - so my lil brother can finally see them!

Beasties working on 'hot' new album (http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/2006/07/26/1704006-ca.html)

TORONTO – The Beastie Boys are in the midst of writing and recording material for their next album.

In an interview with JAM!, the trio confirmed they've begun work on the yet-to-be-titled disc.

Adam Yauch (a.k.a. MCA) said the band's follow-up to 2004's "To The 5 Boroughs" will most likely be another self-produced effort.

Pressed for details, Adam Horowitz (a.k.a. Ad-Rock) promised the new set of songs will be the Beasties' "best ever."

"Wait 'til you hear the new shit that we’re working on. The shit is hot."

Refusing to say when the disc might reach stores, Michael Diamond (a.k.a. Mike D) said the band is in the "messing around" stage.

After its premiere earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, the Beasties were in Toronto earlier today to promote the DVD release of their first-ever concert film – "Awesome; I Fu**in' Shot That!"

Recorded at Madison Square Garden during 2004's Challah At Your Boy world tour, the feature-length picture captures the Beasties' entire live performance using footage shot by fans on 50 different cameras.

Saying that the unconventional move was prompted by their desire to "do something different," the film was one of the most critically praised in the days following its January debut.

The Beastie Boys will appear at Toronto’s HMV Superstore at 333 Yonge Street for an exclusive in-store appearance and autograph session Thursday, July 27, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. ET.

Check back next week for our full-length interview with the Beastie Boys.

I would really like to see a couple guest spots on the next album. I know its kinda a weird request since one of the best aspects of the Bboys is how they work off each other and so well together. I really love "Get It Together" though and "Squat" that Mike D and Ad Rock did with De La Soul. So i would like to see them do a couple tracks with Tribe Called Quest, De La, and maybe some other people kinda outta left field like MF Doom, Talib, Mos Def, Common. I could go on, but just thinking about it gets me all hyped up!

milky, those are some good ideas...id like to see them bring run dmc in for a lil ol' school shit...or ll cool j, if you listen to crawlspace, its sounds like something in the style of what ll cool j would of did on his "walking with a panther" album. id like to seem them bring milk d in like the spam song that adrock did with him.

I wouldn't get to excited, if this pattern continues the next album will drop in 2012.

I'll be in my early twenties by the time the next album comes out (n)

I'd be turnin 22, holy shit I'm gettin old. Well they're talkin in interviews like they already got somethin and it's good. But still, they're in the "messin around stage" who knows what that means, hah.

Messing around for them has meant the next album will come out in about 2-3 years but don't get excited till they say the hiatus is back off, yet again. They are under contract to produce more so I think it's safe to say we'll see a new album sooner than the time between Hello Nasty and To the 5 Boroughs.

Mostly I wanna hear a whole bunch of sampling. I mean sampling out the wazoo son! Instruments would be cool too, but I'd prefer if they were looped and sequenced, sort of like Pass The Mic style. Like rapping over instruments. Less political lyrics too please.

But you know, regardless, I'll be buying your shit guys, on the day it comes out. (y)

I definitely wanna hear more with the instruments- whether it be the punk rock or the jazz/funk type stuff. Also I'd like to see Mario C producing again. A lot of that great stuff from Check Your Head & Ill Comm were just improvs or the b-boys messing around and Mario was genius enough to capture it all on tape & encourage their different ideas. I think TT5B was lacking partially because of his absence. I also think they should go back & record more at G-Son studio if it's still around. LA has a different vibe than NY & that might give the new record a different flavor.

This pattern seems to be holding true, but I have a feeling the next album will drop much sooner than that & here's why. 2007 is an election year & given the B-boys political views I could see them releasing an album around that time. Also if I'm not mistaken '07 would be the 25 yr mark for the b-boys which also may be something they'd wanna promote. Just a thought.
