for only the second time ever. I'm really scared. But after I have a few beers, and I see how crappy everyone is, I'll probably feel better.

NLOL, it's at an actual cool bar too, not that shitty place we went to. Though there are some of the same guys...hopefully not the penis haircut guy though.

Most of my jokes are pretty dumb but oh well. Gotta give it a shot right?

Do you think lesbians get sick of eating tuna fish sandwiches?
Or when they get a tuna melt, does it remind them of the time their girlfriend had a yeast infection?

Okay that's as gross as it gets, i promise.

Last time, this one guy that I had like gone out on a date with once, talked about how small his penis was and how quickly he cums, but how girls still fuck him after the show anyway.

Yeah he wasn't so hot after that.

So what are you like a Seinfeld or a Chapelle? By the sounds of it definitely not a Bob Hope.

I don't know what the fuck I am. I'm a girl so automatically I'm not as funny as those guys. I'm not kidding either.

i had a horribly awkward attempt at getting booze go awry, but other than that is wasn't bad. Some people laughed. A girl later told me I was her favorite, that made me feel good. Then the creepy guy with the small penis told me he wanted to fuck me and bought me a beer. Ew. I took the beer though.

Beer would last longer then he, anyway.

Ive done it abit. No jokes though i don't like jokes. It went well tbh, i'm not funny on the board but can be in real life.

agreed. (y) I would have either passed out or puked on everyone. I'm not as funny as I think anyway.

good job taking the beer.

I think if people are responding well to you that you are doing just fine :)

It's hard to tell...my jokes and shit were okay I think. But doing it at this bar as opposed to the actual "comedy club", it's a lot different because people are generally coming to the bar to hang out with their friends, etc., not to see a bunch of asshats up on stage talking about sharts. So even though the comedy club is utterly lame, everyone is there for the purpose of hearing stand-up.

Ahwell.

But I did get ten bucks for it! The divided up the cover charge and gave it to all the comics. Sweet.

Or as they say in showbiz, break your legs!

i'd be afraid to do it at a bar. everyone's drunk and they probably didn't know they were going to see a stand up, maybe they didn't even want to. it just seems like it would make heckling much more likely (drunk hecklers are the greatest!), it's way too nervewracking.

One guy talked about how he wonders what getting cum on the face feels like, and whether it's kinda like walking into a spiderweb. lolz

thats stupid. I hate when comics intentionally say stuff thats vulgar just to try to be more profane than the last.

DandyFop
08-16-2006, 11:07 AM
No, actually it was really funny. His whole set was, and he wasn't just doing it to be vulgar. Plenty of the guys there tried that and it failed horribly, but that guy was good.

But that one particular thing does sound stupid.

maybe, but typing it out on a message board always comes off a lot different than when they are actually performing it

i hate it when comedians are being seriously interviewed with serious questions but they'll still throw un-related jokes into the answer... mega hate that shit.

Hah, I love that (if it's someone who's actually funny).

jon benjamin (plays the voice of coach mcguirk on home movies, ben on dr. katz, the vegetable can in wet hot american summer) does this alot, but he pulls it off pretty well. he makes the DVD commentary for season one of home movies very entertaining.
