This is sad (http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movies/08/15/kirby.obit.ap/index.html). 57 years old.

Not a whole lot of range, but he added his special Bruno-ness to whatever he did.

Favorite roles, off the top of my head:

Birdy - Mental ward-keeper/Italian conscientious objector

Godfather II: He needed his guns hidden; introduced Corleone to the art of stealing a fine carpet

Homeboy was in a hell of a lot of movies. (http://imdb.com/name/nm0456124/) Donnie Brasco, City Slickers, When Harry Met Sally, Good Morning Vietnam, Modern Romance, etc.

I'll always love City Slickers.

That is pretty sad. I can't think of him in a bad role. Yes, I even liked him in City Slickers. But the most memorable is probably in Spinal Tap as the Limo Driver. I heard he had a couple of stories for Reader's Digest. :(

Hopefully he'll be remembered as more than the poor man's Joe Pesci.

He was a fine actor.

Didn't Joe Pesci become the indigent man's Joe Pesci?

He was really good in everything he did. Him playing Shake's asshole father in Sleepers stands out in my mind.

R.I.P. Bruno.

Thank you.
