in the meantime, Allen's opponent, one time Republican Jim Webb, also knows a thing or two about damage control. He issued a campaign cartoon which took aim at his Jewish opponent during the Democratic primary, Harris Miller:

I thought making cartoons which stereotyped jews went out with the Nazis?
:D
Queen, instead of worrying about George Allen, you need to help our your fellow Terp Lonnie Baxter (aka LB)

I'm not worrying about him, I just found it interesting. I really couldn't give a crap about your backwards state's politics, because Maryland is much more important. :p
And as for whoever that guy from the Terps is, I don't care about him either. They could lock up the whole basketball team as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't affect me, my entertainment, or my education in any way.

Nope, like I said, I don't follow UMD basketball. I think they're overrated, anyways. People loved our basketball since we went to the NCAA. They didn't care as much before '01, however.
Same with Women's basketball. No one cared until this year, now everyone's hyped. It just seems to come in waves, and at the wrong times. They should have cared about basketball BEFORE their win - but they got little to no press time in the Diamondback. Only after their winning streak did they start making headlines, whereas our crap football team always made headlines regardless.
If I were a fan, I'd be sure to care even when the team was down, or not popular. Just something that pisses me off about UMD sports.
