I have owned the first season on DVD for a few years, but apparently untill now I haven't watched them all. I thought I had or something, I don't know, but it's like 10 times funnier than I remember. Amy Poehler is fucking gold. And I love the little random shit, like Adair's accent when he's playing Amy's boyfriend in the "Ugly Club". Hah. Awesome. Too bad it looks like there isn't really plans to release the 2nd and 3rd season.
i like the second season, but the third isn't great. i have them on my computer somewhere...
i think alot of the quality of the show is in the way it's shot. the lack of a laugh track and the camerawork really work for it. one of the extras on the DVD is a pilot (i think!), or some thing where it's filmed like a more traditional sketch comedy show, with a studio audience and traditional camera angles. i honestly couldn't sit through it, it wasn't that funny. i think it was the ugly club sketch, too.

"Maybe she's not an ugly woman...maybe she's a BEAUUUUTIFUL ape!"
I freakin' love that show. I keep thinking of the Moleman episode when I'm riding on the metro. I wanna turn to the guy next to me and be like "Excuse me, are you wearing Moleman perfume?"
And also the episode with the exercise Nazis go into that fat guy's house. "You're not hiding any...fatties in here, are you?" *from behind the bookcase, in hushed whispers* "Now kids, try not to say anything fat!" "But I want some sour cream for my fried salad!"
FREE CHOCOLATE! (y)
the guy who plays adair is definitely my favorite actor on the show. he does so many voices and junk, and he's hilarious.
"what do gay people eat?"
"anything they want!"
"suuuuuuch freeeeeedom!"
for some reason one of my favorite moments is in the episode where he's playing the uncooperative flower girl at the wedding, and he starts hopping like a toad and he makes this ridiculous squawking sound. i can't describe it well but maybe someone knows what i'm talking about. just that sound and his face when he does it always cracks me up, i don't know why. it's such a cheap laugh, but i love it.

yo you guys should be watching cheap seats on espn classic. shit's great. and i've seen cameos from ian roberts, and a ton of other great comedians. it's a little jewel in the sea of shit on cable.
anyone remember that show crossballs? it was a fake debate show with matt besser (adair), jerry minor, andrew daly and some unfunny woman (ok she wasn't bad but i don't remember her name)...they'd get people to come on the show thinking it would be a straight debate show, only the comedians would adopt a ridiculous position and just piss off the other people. i liked it, i thought it was pretty funny, but once the show's out and known about, i suppose it would be impossible to do another season of it.

ohh! i had forgotten about that! i remember enjoying it.
ohh! i had forgotten about that! i remember enjoying it.
i remember reading some blog that matt besser had written in, they did a show (that wasn't aired) about gun control, and the guy that he was arguing with actually threatened to kill him or something. then he posted on some message board about organizing some posse to get back at him, it was ridiculous.

Hah. Matt besser rules.
I want to see Martin & Orloff , written by Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts of UCB - Amy O. And Matt B. are also in it, plus David Cross, Janeane Garofalo, Andy Richter, Rachel Dratch, Tina Fey.

Yes, you do need to see the Baxter - I had Showalter and Zak Orth sign it when they were here last month. It's really good.
