A friend/coworker from london tonight invited me to go to this "carnival", as he said he lives near notting hill in london. he says the shit is nuts and they shut down the whole area, djs playing roots, rap, old ska, and dub, people drinking and smoking freely. he says I could crash at his place (no hotel yay!).
sounds like a good time and I may blow the remainder of my skymiles on this shit son (after vegas tickets, of course). UK people - have you been - doe sit live up to this? If I do go (probability = 20%) than we should hook up and you can all buy me a shot.

It's not my kind of scene. A little too crazy and crowded for me. But then, I'm old. I might have enjoyed it when I was in my early 20's, but these days, I like a clean place to pee and someone to actually bring me my drinks.

I have been meaning to go for years seeing as it's not far from me at all but I never get around to it. I think I might be going to Loaded in the Park in Claphamon Sunday, so 2 days of drinking might prove to painful to contemplate. I am sort of with ms.peachy though, a little too manic for me and I tend to get bored quite easily so a street parade which last more than an hour might kill me

When does it take place?
Skra I just bought I ticket to london for $500 and it had come down from $680 so it was a good deal. The girl I am traveling with said thats probably the cheapest it would get.
