i remember the first picture of me i posted here was taken on the beach when i was 15/16, eight years ago now.

i distinctly remember bobby saying something lovely to me, and i was very happy.

i also seem to remember someone, maybe empee, saying that i looked a bit like tina from s club 7. :eek:

i can't remember what we did with photographs back in the day - did we just upload them onto the board? i remember a time when that was possible but it was abused.

maybe i have some long lost lycos account somewhere, who knows..

i'll have to wait till i get home re: old pictures of me. i got my digital camera for christmas so any old pics of me will have to be snapped again (no scanner!) i would have the original one of me that i posted back at home home, but that's quite a few miles away, so och well.

i used to be very scared about aging, becoming older. i even remember being scared at turning 13 because i was officially a teenager. i felt this horrific urge to document everything because, surely, everything is down hill from now?!

now i'm much more relaxed. and, uh, i'm only 23. i'm interested in how i will grow into my body. i don't have a twenty-something body - it's about 10 years ahead, i think. in my 30s i reckon i will be the most happy with it. i put on weight on my face if i go through any changes - something which you can definitely see in the five years since those pictures.. but i think it's all good.

And Nat, you know bees like honey! ;) There's some other flowers they get totally drunk on, like Echinops bannaticus (cant' be bothered to find the English name), my goodness they can't walk straight after a while sucking on those! Also there's some that are fatal. Like the coctail of linden's two different sugars killed an awful lot of bumblebees this summer...

I think the reason sunflowers are drooping at night cause they're waiting for the morning (they always have their face turned to the morning sun). The sunflowers at work (one pictured in desktop pics) have flowered over now, they're full of seeds now, gotta take a pic tomorrow...

Usually, only one sunflower survives per season (storms knock them out) and this year, there is one 15-20' tall sunflower with a really depressed look to it (its head dangles really low, it's looking at the ground all day) but it survived. It's just monstrous. I'll try to photograph it.

I love sunflowers so much, the way fields of them, throughout the day, will look left and then right, following the path of the sun.

i'm quite satisfied with my hair at the moment, and i think it's the whole fringe thing - i've got the right fringe for my face. and i'm also gonna keep growing my hair until it reaches my belly button, which is not that far.

nice. luckily my hair grows REALLY fast, so if i'm not satisfied with a cut, it won't take long for it to grow out. i'm always flipping between wanting it super short and wishing it was really long. and i usually make a decision one day and decide to hack it all off THAT DAY and the next day i'm like wtf was i thinking and keep doing double-takes in the mirror. thus the several times i buzzed it all off in high school. :o

the surgery I was referring to is for an anterior open bite. Which is actually pretty important.

it causes a lot of problems actually. It's hard to eat certain foods (ever try to eat a sandwich and have the tomato and lettuce sticking out because you can't bite through it?). Then there are possible TMJ problems due to the pressure being all on the back teeth. More plaque build up since usually those with anterior open bites sleep with their mouth open (when awake we are able to naturally remember to keep the mouth closed).

For me the gap isn't as wide as that photo, but only my 3 back molars touch completely (both sides), then it starts to open.

Sooo I'll be getting that surgery :P thanks.
