Big John McCarthy!!!
My second cousin (who I've never met) is married to him. I'm a big mma fan so it's quite fuckin' awesome.
Anyone else related to someone famous?

I once found out that my boss was my third cousin -- after we had been working together for over a year. That has nothing to do with fame, I know.

a friend of mine was going out with this girl. after they had been going out for a while(over a year) she invited him to some sort of rather large family reunion. after a few hours there he noticed that he recognized quite a few people. it turned out this girl was like his second cousin. they both had no idea including their imidiate families. but luckily there was an adoption somewhere along the way and they weren't blood related.

On my mom's side, my great-grandfather's cousin is Herbert Hoover.
Also I'm related to Kaiser Wilhelm on my mom's side, though I don't know directly how.
Either way, since I have some royal German blood in me, I've got some problems pertaining to blood. I also have the same mouth as Hoover. But what terrible historical figures to be related to, eh?

I googled all of my brother's names (on my father's side) and discovered one of them is an animator (he draws CARTOONS (!), go figure). I was able to contact him and find out whether-or-not the last name (which isn't a very popular/run-of-the-mill last name) were coincidence; but NO! Apparently, my brother, David, disowned my father after he turned 18. HAHA!
He's not a celebrity, but I thought it was neat anyway.

robert the bruce. (http://www.angusmacfadyen.com/86.jpg)
mary queen of scots. (http://images.scotsman.com/2005/11/24/dead-famous-mary-big.jpg)
bonnie prince charlie. (http://www.clancurrie.com/images/pictures/press/2005_march10/Bonnie-Prince-Charlie.jpg)
of course, all very distant. they're not like my great uncles or anything. lolz.
they are all from the house of stewart. mary changed her stewart to 'stuart' because she wanted to sound more posh and french. i was on a tour bus once, when we hosted a conference here taking all the delegates to loch lomond, and the tour guide was having a wee chat about the stewarts. i turned around to everyone and mouthed 'that's meee!' just before she said "unfortunately, the stewart's had a habit of dying young". doh! (yeah, just look at mary's death mask if you need proof!)
i must say, my favourite stewart was james II:
(1437-1460)
Called 'fiery face' due to a birthmark, James is recorded as a strong-willed and often ruthless ruler. Not averse to a bit of bloodshed, James fought for his right to rule against Scotland's strong aristocracy, particularly the Douglas family, with whom he waged war throughout much of his adult reign. It would be unlikely for a Stewart to die peacefully in his bed, but James's own end was a singularly spectacular one: blown to bits by one of his own artillery pieces during a siege at Roxburgh.
AWESOME! GO TEAM!

You must be related to ol' King Georgie too, through either marrige or blood!

Probably. Inferior royal German blood. Seriously, if they hadn't inbred so much, maybe I'd have more hemoglobin now and wouldn't be so tired all the time.
Then again, I probably wouldn't be here.
Either way, gross dude.

I found out a couple months ago that my dad was friends with Michael Keaton in high school. He knows I'm a fan, yet he still withheld that information for 20 years. HE'S FUCKING BATMAN FOR CHRISSAKES!

Micheal Keaton? Sweet.
My friend's coworker was high school sweethearts with Johnny Knoxville. She said he's nothing like he is now, what with the whole baseball bat to the groin fun. He was nice and sweet and gentle, apparently.
