I've got a Beastie Boy shirt. It's a ringer, white with blue around the collar and sleeves. It's got a blue old school van on it that says "Beastie Boys" and on the back it says "Aloha Mr. Hand." It was from a tour back in the late 90's I believe, and my friend snagged it from another friend and gave it to me, but I realized it's a large boy fit and I'm never gonna wear it.

We've just done a secret compilation CD swap on another board I use. Everyone PMs a co-ordinator saying they would be up for doing it and gives their address. He then pulled names out of a hat and then sent the name/address of their intended back. That person makes a cd for their intended, ideally of stuff that they might like/never have thought about listening to. The trick is to send it anonymously and without a tracklisting so you're not judging it on who sent it, or what might be on it before you have heard it.

It takes a bit of effort and trust that the co-ordinator is not just on a mission to acquire everyone's addresses but I got my cd off this girl I hardly chat to on this board and she's from Finland so got some local music which I would never have listened to.

yeah, we had a 'sticky' and once people had listened to it they posted there, and the compiler was then allowed to reveal themselves and the tracklisting.

i was seriously known as the dr pepper girl (er, if they didn't know my first name, of course. it was a way to identify me) at school because i would always be holding a dr pepper bottle. i love it!
and i have received plenty dr pepper lip balm from some of the good citizens of the board in my day, too. (y)
it is just so.. ubiquitous! delicious.
i've weened myself off it in the past couple of years though because i was becoming dependent! imma get some now though :cool:
