View Full Version : What song do you have stuck in your head?

QueenAdrock

Kinda like the "What song are you listening to?" thread only much more annoying because if you're like me, you only have one or two lines constantly repeated and you have NO idea why it's in your head.

Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio

:(

Lex Diamonds

Lucifer - Jay-Z

Shoot Em Up - Nas

Many Men - 50 Cent

For the last week or so I've found myself hearing these over and over whenever I'm away from my CD player/computer.

Nope. Didn't even have the intro or anything. Just verse/chorus/verse and by then the next simuli would occur and I'd forget it until the song pushed into my consciousness again.

Yeah, no kidding. And some people just wanna try to seem cool by acting like they actually get good songs or songs they like stuck in their heads. Typical.

Shoot Em Up is average at best. And Lucifer is one of the weakest songs on that album. And don't even try talkin about Fiddy.

i heard it getting destroyed on some radio show and apparently they added these 'mutes' to make the performance more "badass", like they had to censor out the curse words or something.... at the teen choice awards

Ahhh man I had a couple of weeks where I listened to nothing but Primo productions... probably the best couple of weeks of my life in terms of music listening quality, but now I can hardly listen to any Primo track without feeling like I've heard it a million times before.

Although I do keep hearing a couple of lines from "Pop Shots" over and over.

you know as much as i hate to say this, when i heard about pop shots, i was like ahhh shit, preemo and ODB, thats going to be a hot track, but then i heard it and i was like :( , shame really. Now though i quite like it, hearing ODB saying rocafella rocafella rocafella still doesn't sit right with me though

I've got a song in my head all the time. At the moment it's: "Break like the wind" from Spinal Tap. But at least I do know why: it's because I watched the Simpsons' Episode feat. Spinal Tap on DVD yesterday. This morning it was so annoying I finally had to download the whole song allthough it really sucks. But sometimes it helps to listen to that stuck-in-my-head-song again...

Weird.

This morning I woke up and had Madonna's "Borderline" in my head like crazy. I only know the chorus and maybe part of the bridge, so that was on repeat.

No idea where that came from.

At the bus stop, it was Beastie Boys' "The Move." At least I own a copy of that.

Then, on the bus, that somehow turned into Culture Club's "Karma Chameleon." Maybe because I saw a photo yesterday of Boy George picking up trash? I dunno.

Strange days.

And it's mixed with an episode of The Critic I saw yesterday, where Jay found the cure for Duke Phillip's Syndrome, and the former Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton came out and started singing for him: "Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke is well, well, well, feeling swell, swell, swell, not in hell, hell, hell" and then Clinton does a sax solo. Don't you just hate it when a song is catchy and incredibly stupid. It's been bouncing around my cranium for almost a year now, and I still can't get it out.

And to think I just got over Culture Club's Karma Chameleon . Almost makes me want to get my Black and Decker 1/2 HP Drill, insert the largest bit I have, and attempt to self-lobotomize.

I use "Oldies" and "classic rock" interchangeably. If it's old and still around today, it must have stood the test of time and therefore be classic, no?

So if you don't want to call it oldies or classic rock then what is it? I understand maybe Acid Rock for some of it. I bet you want to call some of it Brit Rock or something equally as snobbish sounding, don't you! DON'T YOU?!
