I've tried getting into this show multiple times but no luck. I thought it was maybe because I had skipped episodes so I watch 2 or 3 in a row...and it still sucks. I just don't get it.

I think this is the last season because the director is doing another show for hbo.

i wanted to get into this, but it just never happened. i heard some shit about the director funding the last few episodes of it out of his own pocket, because HBO was going to scrap it.

I'm watching it on DVD...only in second season. So warn me if you're gonna post spoilers.

I have also heard that it's being discontinued due to cost.:( I will be so bummed.

I think to get into it you really gotta start from the very begining....


My favorite character is AL Swearengen. Such a motherfucker, but a likable mother fucker at that. Just when I think I hate him he does something redeemable.(y)

this is one of the best tv shows i've ever seen. the acting, the writing, the set design...eeverything. it's just awesome.

yeah hbo cancelled it after season 3 due to production costs i guess. there were supposed to be 2 2hour movies that would've aired sometime in 2008 which would've wrapped up the remaining storylines, but they've yet to film them and it's like 50/50 as to whether or not they ever will get made. :(

I'm really dissapointed. Deadwood was one of my favorite shows, not to mention the fact that one of my professors was a paid consultant on Deadwood. Oh well, we're just going to have to get our wild-west fix with 3:10 to Yuma, which looks interesting enough.
