one time I had a dream about red rover being broadcast on ESPN at some kind of red rover championship...and the victors were a team full of kids with spina bifida that were tied together with twine in their wheelchairs. I remember it pissed me off a lot. This had to have been 8 or 9 months ago I had this dream but I just remembered it :(

yeah we had a presentation of a kid with spina bifida in 4th grade. In hindsight it seems bizarre that they would just kind of show off this poor kid to us like he was an animal on display or some shit.

in fourth grade we had this presentation in the library about the special olympics. they had to stop the video and send us back to our classes because of all the boisterous laughing. it was a total failure. i mean the whole school was just in an uproar.

Seriously, how could they expect kids not to laugh? Do teachers expect children to be mature and serious about disabilities?
