Well....it's a quite long story so if you want take a drink next to you and read.
I work as an educationalist in a family who has 4 daughters: Denise (16 years old) Giada (12 years old) Anna (4 years old) and Gioia (3 years old)
When Giada was on her 18th month of life, at night her heart stopped beating and she couldn't breath....medicals tryed to bring her back to life for 30 minutes and the succeeded in this but...her brain had been very (and when I say very i mean VERY) seiously damaged: she can't see, neither talk: she just can hear... she doesen't gives any feedback to ppl, sometimes it seems that she recognize voices or sounds but...nothing else.
My work is to take her around with her special push-kart (of course she can't walk) or stay at home with her if the temperature is too hot and we can't go out....while her mom takes the other 2 little girls to the beach. When I arrive at her home on afternoon I jump into hell. Anna and Gioia (the 2 younger daughters) are very lovely but very noisi, always on the run, always searchin' for fun and big fun. They are always runnin' around theyr mom's legs....so one day (last week) while mom was tryin' to get dressed to go out she asked me "Please....try to keep 'em quiet for 10 minutes! Please!"
So i had this great idea... katch their attention by showin' 'em my videoclips on PSP. I have just Beastie Boys video on it, so i choose "triple trouble" (because the sasquatch is funny!) and "Fight For Your Right" 'because the cake-fightin' is great! they renamed those video in "The one with the Monkey" and "The One of the Cakes"....and damn! they enjoyed those videos so much. The problem is that now....they want me to show those 2 videos EVERY DAY!!!! I can't even enter the house that they start "WE WANT TO SEE THE MONKEY!!!! WE WANT TO SEE THE CAKE!!! CAKE PLEASE...."
....The awesome thing is that i tried to make 'em see "Alive" video, and they recognize the Beastie Boys by a video to another: I mean, seein' "Fight For Your Right" Gioia (the younger one) sayd "The Red....is the blue..." meaning that adRock dressed in red, is dressed in blue in "Alive"....I'm having so much fun with 'em... I also took a short movie with my telephone where I ask 'em "How are thy called?" and they answer "Beastie Boy!" (without S) ... but I dunnow how to show it to you! (someone has seen it!!!) :(
