I'm 23 and I feel like an ancestor compared to some of you.

but yea both pooty and laver are really cool. You can tell how laver loves the beastie boys by the enthusiasm he shows when posting about them. Pooty seems like a cool guy as well. I've only talked to him on the hub and enjoyed talking about the beasties, new orleans and partying.

Those two are an example of who I like the best here. I've never seen them piss anyone off, or do any other stupid shit that some people do over on the free board.

It's just plain Beastie love.(y)

Pooty turned all the hub fonts into Hax code. I didn't know what the fuck was going on. He's a funny dude.:D

And Laver Lav, well the dude is money. Big things happening for him.(y)

I'm actually a farm boy from Indiana. Lived in Florida for 5 years and been in Vegas for a couple weeks. And when you've got a 10-year old son, yeah, 28 is old. But I look young and feel younger so it's all good.

Glad you guys liked the track.

Dirtydan,

Get this program (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/), it's what I use. I just play around with it. The mic is just a ten dollar desktop plug in. If can post on this board, you can use that program. I've had tons of fun with it.

That was much better than the get it together track. I liked how you flipped the lyrics.

Why not try writing/recording your own music?

I've written 2 songs. Both are guitar tracks. One was written to propose to my wife. The other is an acoustic track that I tried to give a hip hop slant to, inspired by Sublime. I recorded the first verse and the chorus but haven't gotten much farther. It's a few years old.

I'd like to do some hip hop, but I need some beats.

Walk down the street....[if you have much chance to walk] and write the ryhmes in your head. Most people walk in 4/4. Your heart beat is in 4/4.

Write down what you like, improve, improvise, practice! By the time you find some beats, you'll have written a million verses. Then you adapt the flow to the beat.

Or, if you don't walk anywhere, just download a bunch of your faviorite hip-hop instrumentals. Bump them in your car. Don't copy what's already been written.

[spreads hands] My advice to you.
