So yeah, a while ago i booked a few gig tickets via lastminute.com before they went on general release since the venue is kinda small and i figured they'd probably sell out. Big mistake! It turns out the tickets aren't going to be sent to me at all, and i'm going to have to pick them up on the night of the gig, which ultimatley means taking a whole lot of shitty printouts along as well as the card i used and then standing in the wrong queue for an hour or so, only to be told i was supposed to wait in that queue and so on, argh.

Recipe for disaster, or is it just me? I might be able to cancel them and go buy tickets from the box office which i'd get over the counter, but i dunno, i'm almost positive these arrangements will go down the shitter on the night

That sort of thing bugs me. The point of buying tickets online is to bypass the hassle as much as possible. Some services do manage that, and it's pretty often worth the extra fee to be able to just bypass the crowd.

Thing is though, i'm intendin to go along early but i've got a feeling i'll end up having to wait in the same queue rather than being able to jump it.

The only hassle they're saving anyone is the PR guy, who won't have to hire a spotty teenager to lick a billion envelopes and send them out via registered mail.
