I had my year review at work and was so terrified. Mainly because I despise hearing anything bad, even if it's constructive criticism and I thought I've been just decent here, not superb.

Turns out they had nothing but excellent things to say and I got a nice raise, too. I was surprised that they thought I was so awesome (their words). I spend a lot of my time at work not working. I guess I just balance meeting deadlines, helping out, and goofing off on the internet pretty well.

i hate when the boss tells you that you did something wrong, when they never told you how they wanted you to do it in the first place.

yeah, I've heard about that happening to people before. I know so many people that put up with a lot of crap because they need the job to pay bills and everything. I've been extremely fortunate to get the job I have now, everyone here is great.

yes. Benefits are on the horizon as well.

I love this company. If they bring in beer on Friday too, well, I'd just marry them.
