i like bloc party. theyre a band that finally dosnt sound like everyone else, in my opinion.

Only in comparison to the boring daddy indie rock that's mainstream. Compared to underground music at the time they were anything but.

explain thet to me in simpler terms. i dont think they sound like "maistream" if thats what youre saying. you and your music lingo.

they're not original if you look beyond the boring stuff that came out around the same time.

got it. well i just stumbled onto them on accident and liked it. im just tired of the screaming whiney so called "rock" on the radio these days. i like songs with a little less crap. once again, my opinion. (isnt it sad you have to say that a lot or else people take it personally?)

Yeah, bloc party were a nice change but i don't think they carried that style too well Twas a bit bland and overly twangy. I know what you're saying about the other shit on the radio, though.

Hit up 'shit disco' on myspace and listen to reactor party. That's what imma talking about :D

now i see what you mean about "mainstream" and "bland" when compared to a group like this. but to tell you the truth, based on that one song i still would chosse bloc party hands down. but just to let you know i do listen to a lot more down tempo "chill out" music, so that probly has something to do with it.

for a second they reminded me a tiny tiny bit of devo.
