Everyone knows the Beasties are a bit crazy in interviews, but does anyone think they are on anything when they are interviewed, in particular their early ones. Theres some YO! MTV Raps features from 89 (here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muu_rXLrep8&mode=related&search=)) where they sound off their faces, and even in some latter interviews such as when the beasties were on the big breakfast in 94 they (particularly adrock) look wasted. Were they known to get dusted before interviews, and does anyone know of any realllllllllllly stupid shit they did as a result?

notes:

-LOL@ "i'm me mike D with the symphony"
-hey do you think DRE saying 3 MC's and one dj could have spawned the idea for 9 years later for HN?
-is it just me or does MCA and Mike especially seem totally high in that video? haha

we need more videos like these :D

I think mike d was always "higher" than the rest of them during the pb days. That or his tolerance is really low.

I didn't realize it back then when I was younger, but they were all high in that era. Hence the name Brooklyn "Dust" Music & the many drug references in the Paul's Boutique lyrics. I actually think Adrock was "higher" than the rest of them. Check out this interview with Adrock for his movie Roadside Prophets. The host asks, which do you like better making music or movies? Adrock says, "Well... when you make music you make it, and when you're in a movie you're just like...in a movie."

The funny thing was when I paused one of these Yo MTV rap videos and right when I started it back Adrock shouted SWEET CHILD OF MINE!

I was wearing headphones and had it turned up real loud so it was really funny :D
