Now, you want to try out for the team. Now, they wont just "accept" you, will they? No.....youre going to have to earn your way in, no matter how long youve been a fan for. Its tradionally called a "hazing".

now, thats just a non internet example. On the net, its almost the same deal. you go to a site about your favorite group, movie, actor, etc, etc, etc and you start asking questions and chances are, the regulars will not "accept" you right away. The "newbies" usually go through a beating before anything, so to speak. once in a while, you will get an old schooler that just comes right out and tries to assist the newbie, but that just pisses people off.

newbies are just like mice in a room full of hungry cats, thats all.

I am wide awake and wish I could go back to the blissfulness before I realized that so many jerks justify their idiotic behavior with the simple argument that 'hey everybody does it'. That mobthink is what allows genocide, war, and all kinds of atrocities all around. Rise above. Stop making excuses. I know it takes more character to be a well mannered adult, but give it a try.
