How come AC/DC didnt let the beasties sample back in black but let boogie down productions sample it.

I don't know how these things go down, but I can assume there was a price for using it and maybe the beasties thought the price was too high or something. Just a guess.

Supposedly AC/DC just refused it being used so I'm guessing money wasn't to big of a problem for the Beasties.
Either way the song is out there and I'm lucky enough to own it, it doesn't get enough love on this board (n)

I think acdc didnt give the beasties permission because they didnt know who the fuck they were in 1985, along with alot of other people.

Yeah, but didn't AC/DC STILL refuse permission for them to include the song on The Sounds of Science cd?
And according to Beastiemania, No Sleep till Brooklyns guitar riff is from TNT, another AC/DC song.

thats the story I got. perhaps they saw rap as a passing fad and they may have thought that the beasties were serious musicians.

they granted them permission but it was too late to include on the cd.
