you're from brissie, right? last time I went to QLD I found this awesome place called Platinum, they stock some great designers!

this shop I got the dress from today, looks like an old lady-type shop - but the labels they stock are insanely good: Cohen et Sabine, Karen Walker, Lisa Ho, Nicola Finetti, Nolita, Camilla & Marc, heaps more! the staff were fantastic too...total heaven.
yeah i'm from brisbane, and i'm pretty sure Platinium's in the valley yeah? the valley is much better for shopping than the city, well at least it is for girls. i went nuts with my eftpos card at the basement i think its called? the place at the bottom of the myer centre in melbourne.

difference between shopping in brisbane and melbourne - go down an alley in melbourne city and you find hundreds of great boutique stores, go down an alley in brisbane and you find a couple of bins, lots of broken beer bottles and prolly a bum or 2(n)

um, i think it was at Pacific Fair in Surfers that I saw Platinum - they stocked Wayne Cooper and Bare by Rebecca Davies stuff, lucky I was too poor to buy anything though..

never saw a club called Platinum though - we stayed on Cavill Ave, and went to some wanky places. fuck me, those clubs know how to charge!
yeah, the clubs on cavill are shit, and the best ones are also fucking hard to find, and like you said, know how to charge. the gold coast is great for a weekend or so. we usually go down at least 3 times a year. always for schoolies, BDO and a rave called Summafield dayze. Cavill ave is fucking chaotic on schoolies week, even tho it's gotten softer over the last few years. but yeah, the gold coast is sweet. hopefully we'll go down for the Indy in october!

that's why i was in melbourne for earlier this year, the f1. i haven't been the indy in a couple of years, but the f1 shits all over it. all the shows there are great. most of the stuff there is for guys, but hearing an f1 car zoom past you is an amazing feeling. i had the best time there. did everything there, drank with other tourists, got my photo taken with promo girls, etc.

everything was great except for the ridiculously long train ride in from Hoppers Crossing (n)

i'm def an F1 girl (tzar's been teaching me a lil about rally though :D ) and i'm usually put off by the whole manly-bogan-arsehole element of it all.
but i do want to go. like you said, the noise and the exp would be incredible.
i have reli's all over australia, most of them live in townsville ( that's where my parents are from) but i was staying with some reli's that live in hoppers. do you live out that way? i live only a few km's from the city here so staying out there was a bit of a shock

one of my cousins up there is married to a cowboy named Dallas :D i love horses so i used to dream of marrying my own cowboy one day
townsville's really only about half way up queensland, but yeah, it's basically far north. i haven't been up there in about 4 years. it's too hot up there, and too small, plus most of my reli's live in the sticks. my grandparents on my mum's side have a really nice place on magnetic island tho, that's always great to visit. but they always show us their 1930 penny, i think that's the one that's meant to be worth alot?
