Finally after 4 years in the Mid-East. Sweating my ass off, dodging bullets, swerving to miss a car that has blown up 3 cars in front of me, breathing nothing but sand, missing my daughter, worriesome nights that my wife has had to wait for me, my Mom worried sick everyday, etc, etc.

I now own 2 houses. One in which I rent out and the other remains vacant till I go on vacation. I'm about to get a third house in Long Island. I'm using a V.A. loan for this one and it's already half paid. What I'm going to do is rent that one out as well till the mortgage is paid off and I've got a job opportunity in China, my wife's hometown to teach English. It's not going to pay me as much as when I was in the mid-east but, the rent's free and I'll be able to relax and induldge more terrific culture, all worry free.

So, go ahead. Brag about yourself here and feel free to compliment me and others, as I will.

Good show, Eric. It's all about the pay off. I hope one day I can look back and be in your position.

they were all ambush kills. Not ones that I've gotten a hit on and had to retrieve for my pay off. I didn't work like that. All self defense.

Enough to say that I can't talk about it. I could if you p.m. me your address so that I could delete you from my conscience.

J/k.

I can be so indecisive sometimes. I decided not to take the job in China because I haven't chilled stateside for a while. Even though my daughter can come to visit me in China, she can spend more time with me if I'm in the states.

I'm even holding off on the loan to buy a 3rd house. What I'll do is use the loan towards building a brand new house which will be my permanent residence.

For now, my wife and I are just going to rent an apartment in Flushing N.Y. and go to school.

I just found out I might not have to drive all the way to MI to cash in these empty bottles. It is a great feeling.

I should go buy a house

like tomorrow, I should go buy a house

but im lonely enough as it is, without sitting in a house all by myself

I have a secure job

Im too young to have a secure job

I feel like I cant go move somewhere else

if I moved to the coast like I should have done already I could be with my choice of 2 people Id love to be having a relationship with right now

I feel like I cant go on a big extended trip because Id jeapardize my position at work

I want to get married

I dont want kids for atleast 10 years if ever, but I could so go for marrying someone right now

I hate how set my path is

sure, being a part owner of a ridiculously successful lab before Im 30 is going to rule, but Im so not happy with the prospect of being stuck here for the next 5 years while I learn enough to do so and my boss finishes making her millions
the woman is going to denmark to buy a horsie horse, DENMARK! sweet jesus thats when you know you have too much money

I dont want to be some going to denmark asshole looking for a horse bastard when I get older I DONT

what is wrong with me, I should be stoked

all my friends are drifters, continuously going to school or working bartending or waitressing gigs and giving no sign of finding their path before they are 30

but they all seem to have more fun that I do

I have 20 grand of my own hard earned money saved up in the bank, and It sure doesnt make me happy

none of this would matter if I could find someone worthy of my love in my neighborhood

Im sick of going to bed each evening with a lump of despair in my gut

muther
fuck
shit
fuck

you're paranoid, son.

get a can of mace and go buckwild. Stay in a hostel, those are friendly spots where you can do stuff with groups rather than being alone.

i never say hippie shit like this, but who says drifting's not a path? if you're happy with it, who cares, just don't bother anyone

i know how you feel though. i dunno if i wanna be a lawyer. it's early enough in the path to turn around, but all the same you're compelled to keep going. maybe when you get to the end you'll grow to like it. or maybe if you did turn around, you'd hate where you ended up even more. it's a choice between certain doldrums and total uncertainty. safe and boring or god knows what. the dinet set or the mystery box. everyone wants to know what's in the box and nobody really WANTS that dinet set, but at least it's safe.

and of course everyone around you says "TAKE THE BOX, TAKE THE BOX" but it's not their asses that are on the line. they just wanna know what's in the box, they're not stuck with it.

i've been considering joining the army because i'm too lazy to get an education on my own

that's probably one of the less good reasons to join the army. and despite what marines might tell you, i get the feeling that the army isn't a good place for lazy people

'course, neither's law school, so who am i to talk

kate
09-18-2006, 09:30 PM
how're you gonna be a lawyer with a speech impediment

kate
09-18-2006, 09:33 PM
i'm not really lazy i guess, i just don't have any idea what i'm working towards in school, so i don't like paying all the money for the classes and books if i might not even end up needing them in the end, ya know? plus i would like to get into shape, and i think the army is a good place for that. plus i wanna shot a gun so bad

yep, that lump of dispair is fun to have. the more I pour booze on it, the more fun it gets. I've decided to pour less booze on it, it's not really helping the problem.

I just watched Stripes last night and decided that being in the army would suck. Sure, everyone learned something and got to make it with hot chicks, but who wants to run around so much?

ericlee
09-18-2006, 09:56 PM
Fuck joining the army. Let me tell you as a vet, Fuck joining the army. I may have mentioned it before but, the only reason why I joined was to get rid of a nasty coke habit I had and it worked. It was either that or rehab or homeless and I was only 19. I was going to make a career out of it because it's good retirement but then fucking Bush had to get in.

If you're lazy, you definitly don't want to join. Who wants to do field training exercises which involves you basically camping for a month strait, no matter what the weather? Freezing cold, balls dripping heat, you're out there.

Putting up with some higher enlisted person's shit when you're lower and even though you know he's a shitbag, you've got to do it or they can take your pay and knock those mosquito wings right off you..

Going wherever they tell you to go and you've got no choice. I'm telling you, it's not a job anyone can do. I can just put up with alot of horseshit so, I was perfect for it.

Jumping from perfectly good airplanes? I've been in 8 years and I never got my jump wings. I went through air assualt school and graduated but all that implies is shuffeling down a rope from a helicoptor.

i'm guessing that's not half as fun as the commercials make it look
